Final.

What a game, congrats to both teams!

Bend don’t break. Only way to put it.

Any instant replay on that last play? Lol

Wow! What a game!

A lot of growth tonight for the young tigers. Strong start…followed by a kick in mouth that resulted in a loss of momentum. Then a bounce back and a huge stop for the win! CCHS is the only game I see as a problem. Young and thin won’t work against that team. But other than that, the tigers look like they can make another run in 2A.

Way closer than I thought!  Congrats to both teams!

Great game!

Not the outcome I wanted, but the Colonels did shock you.

Shock isn’t the word I’d use. I’m not surprised by this score honestly.

I thought Beechwood would run to control the clock today. But Hayden can throw the ball, and very well. One of the touchdowns, number five from dixie could not have covered a kid any better, and Hayden dropped it right in a spot only his receiver can catch it. Kid took a lot of hits, and a lot of pressures, hats off to him for a gritty game. Brach Rice is an absolute monster. The field goal that Dixie missed in the first half came back to haunt them. That was a fun game to watch. Dixie showed a lot of growth today bouncing back from adversity. Still a couple stupid penalties and need to protect them all better, but way to hang in there against a good team.

Kudos to the Red Colonels - I’m no expert, but favored BeechIE Tech by 10+.

Dixie will, assumedly, be a major player in the local 5A ranks???

Going to be honest, I am shocked by this score.  Good for Dixie and maybe that district is a 3 team race now.

Dixie is obviously much improved. Congrats to both teams on battling hard for 48+. Congrats to Beechwood on regrouping to win.

Fox19 was in the endzone for the final play. Hard to tell from the angle, but Gregg was fully extended and still off the ground.

Not really surprised. As I said in the prediction thread I expected this to be a competitive game. Dixie to me is like the wild card team this year. They have some top players on that team, so they should be very competitive with most teams and have a chance in most games.
