Pretty much nailed it with the 43-41 prediction and holding the ball. Defense was not the reason the score was so low. Kudos to Newport for fighting with Kinney going down early. Jackson and Covington did a nice job to lead Newport. Back to back Regional Champs. I don't know if I would have ever thought that being possible. Is Cooper, the Buffalo Bills in big games or what? State championship loss in Football and back to back Regional Championship game losses in basketball. Has Cooper ever won a state title? This group will have one more chance this upcoming year in both.

Great defense being played. Should be an exciting finish.

Do not have a dog in the fight but I would say Harney was the best player on the court. 7-16 for the game shooting and somehow not one foul shot. Kid looked like he played against Freddy Krueger with nail marks on his arm and shoulders. Pouncy dominated Miller. That was pretty much the story of the game. Cooper vs. Newport should be a great game. I would prefer to see a high scoring game with all the athletes on the court but think each team will hold the ball. Predicting a 43-41 type of game.

Sloppy game. Vinson had a great night and ended with 42 points. He also surpassed 1,000 points for his career. Carried the Birds tonight. Great determination and great player. It seems that Highlands plays better when he has the ball in his hands. Lloyd’s Sebastian had an off night. Collins found his rhythm hitting 6 3’s to lead Lloyd. Walker played a decent game.. missing free throws is a killer.

With Queen coming back from Elder. Will it be as a Junior, Sophomore or Freshman?

Which is interesting because last night, I believe parents had blow horns which are neither power or mechanical. My biggest takeaway is Highlands dominated the past two weeks. The problem the last two weeks and Dixie in the regular season. The head coaches for the visiting teams were more worried about looking in the stands and mocking parents than having their team ready and prepared to stop the Highlands offense. The noise makers were not the reason you lost the game.

Have been waiting for this topic for a few years! Benke is a beast! Shout out to that O-line. I think he could throw it more if needed but no reason too. Geisler is top running back in NKY. I do like Leen from Cov Cath as well. Geisler didn’t have many carries the first few games. The last two.. has completely dominated. Benke is best player in my opinion since Hodge.

Cooper Qb is legit. Had some great throws. Kept his team in the game. I still question how this team lost to Ryle. How did they only score 10 points in that loss? Benke might be best player in NKY. I would love to see the stats.. maybe threw over 250.. ran for another 150. Some schools are missing out on a big time player. Great athlete! Geisler might be the best running back in NKY. Leen for Cov Cath is right there with him. He is running hard and just seems to be faster this year. Reminds me of Warrick Dunn from FSU. Would love to see a rematch. I feel like Highlands holds a slight edge because they could of just ran the ball tonight and won. They also could have just thrown it deep to their 4-6 wide receivers and scored that way.
