You are completely missing what people are telling you. There was NO ADDITIONAL game added. Freshman football has always gone all the way up until the last week of the varsity regular season. Then onc

No the Colonels do not know that at all.  Better teams win, period.  Yes, it is that simple, cut, and dry.  Good teams don’t lose and don’t make excuses for losing.  When you lose, you lose because yo

5 of the 9 northern Kentucky football programs that field exclusively freshman teams only get to play 9 games this season. The other 4 managed to successfully schedule 10 games. Think about all the ti

Lorenzen is the best freshman I’ve seen in a long long time. And I’ve watched lots of football.

So I find the claim of Fryman being leaps and bounds better, dubious at best.

I feel like every year we have a person say this is the best freshman we have seen in a long time. Just like it would be easy to say two players for Cooper who currently have multiple D1 offers were two of the best freshman to come along the last two years as Cam O’Hara and Austin Alexander didn’t even play freshman football and started varsity as freshman and produced right away.

At the end of the day the NKY area has been blessed with a lot of really good young talent that has been coming up these last few years. Fryman, and Lorenzen are two more great freshman now on their way up. Definitely an exciting time with a lot of young talent in NKY.

Covington Catholic frosh beat Boone County's froshmore squad tonight 33-0.

Boone's football has been scraping and clawing to make progress but they just don't seem to be making any headway. Sad to see it with that program.

41-6 Highlands over Conner right before the half.

I'll also bite. You mean to say 3 players are enough to over come a 7 TD to zero score? Closer score than that, sure, but 7 TDs? Also Highlands and Beechwood played I believe twice in the early 2000s and it was quite evident who was the superior team.

Who was the QB for Highlands during that time?

Highlands 47 Conner 6

KHSAA scoreboard has Highlands a victors over Beechwood in 2001 and 2002. In 2001 Highlands won 42-16 and 2002 Highlands won 27-6. No clue who the QBs were.

How long are we going to hold onto Cam O’Hara and Austin Alexander not playing freshman ball at Cooper? Every week last year in the NKY freshman thread it was talked about that O’Hara was not playing freshman ball. They are both great athletes that played varsity as freshmen. We know. That has been done before.

That’s fair. Guess there should have been more discussion about Keagan Mayer and Ryker Campbell last year.
I think the point that’s being made is NKY is fortunate to have a ton of talent at multiple schools at the freshman level year in and year out of late and we should all celebrate the positivity of that situation for our area.

So that is literally what you took away from that post? I was acknowledging how somehow every year someone says this is the best freshman they have seen in years in reference to a player. Or have people like last year say so and so is the best freshman QB in the area and it isn’t even close, etc. People seem to want to rank who is the very best player, instead of just loving the fact of how much good young talent is coming through NKY these last few years.  Which I even said in that post how we have been fortunate enough to see a lot of very talented freshman come up in NKY these last few years. So not sure how you completely missed what the point of the post was. Which was we have had a very nice stretch of some top talent coming through NKY these last few years. Much like this year now with Lorenzen, Fryman, etc.

That’s my misinterpretation then. My mistake! I agree with all about the excitement for these upcoming years in NKY.

Any more updates on games from tonight?

Last I heard Cooper was beating Dixie 29 to 20 in the 4th quarter. I have not heard what the final was.
