You are completely missing what people are telling you. There was NO ADDITIONAL game added. Freshman football has always gone all the way up until the last week of the varsity regular season. Then onc

No the Colonels do not know that at all.  Better teams win, period.  Yes, it is that simple, cut, and dry.  Good teams don’t lose and don’t make excuses for losing.  When you lose, you lose because yo

5 of the 9 northern Kentucky football programs that field exclusively freshman teams only get to play 9 games this season. The other 4 managed to successfully schedule 10 games. Think about all the ti

Beechwood have kids sitting for the JV game this weekend?

How will the #1 seed be decided at the end of the year? I'm hearing CCH, HHS and Ryle are on a crash course for a 3 way tie for First. What method do they use? I do know that there is a 1 game playoff at the end of the year. If you aren't the 1 or 2 you might as be last. The top 4 seeds should be a bracket playoff with the bottom 4 seeded and a 1 game playoff. One of the top teams in NKY will be given a 3 seed and not have a chance to win the whole thing. And I don't want to hear that there is 3 games left to play within the Top 3. Beechwood isn't beating Ryle after what HHS did to them last night. And CCH and HHS aren't losing either. Looks like the Week 1 Sat morning matchup between HHS and CCH after the JV game is going to backfire after all. HHS is absolutely smoking teams right now. Not even close. Would love to see a CCH vs HHS rematch.

I don’t think freshman football is important enough to require a 4 team playoff. There are a lot of variables in play that determine the outcomes. Some kids play up, some teams use it as developmental, some teams want to put up as many points as possible. Adding this one game between the two best records is better than nothing. If it’s a coin flip and highlands is the odd man out, it is what it is. They many not even care. I would assume they don’t, or they wouldn’t have worn their best players out right before playing the CovCath game.

That said, I would argue that a JV game is even less important than a freshman game, so who knows what the thought process was.

8 of the 9 teams get a extra game.

1 vs 2

3 vs 4

5 vs 6

7 vs 8

HHS will not be the odd man out. They will get that extra game wherever they land. My guess no lower than 3. Kudos to the powers to be who organized this. Most teams kids only get Freshman ball and this gives them 1 extra week to play. Good stuff.

Obviously I meant odd man out of the 1v2 game.

If they do get the 3, it would be nice to see them play all the backups, who’s season actually is ending. Most of the starters are all going to continue to dress varsity for the playoffs.

I don't think they play anymore JV games for the rest of the year. That's what I heard. They canceled HHS next Sat because of a small Soph class and a heavy Freshman class. Just play Football!

Cooper marching into Ft Thomas in a couple of weeks to knock off the Birds. If they can play with CCH then look out.

Highlands started slow vs. Campbell Co. up 9-0 after one but extended the lead to 36-0 at half.
