Yes it will. A 6A win is big points in RPI.

Still will be a good win in RPI. Anytime you win over a higher class team is good points in KHSAA RPI regardless of the record of the higher class team. The more classes above your class, the more points you get.

 

Teams have to schedule with the RPI in mind. We are finding it a real challenge to get larger schools to play us. I can only guess that our 2A rivals are experiencing the same.

It is more difficult for Mayfield because there aren't as many options available. Beechwood has maybe 12-15 4A and larger schools within a 30 minute drive.

I was curious to hear whether or not that was the case. I looked at Apollo's schedule as of about a week ago and Mayfield was not on it. Obviously things can change and cancellations happen, but I hadn't seen that match-up coming.

And it’s still tough for Beechwood to get teams to play them.
