Being a football fan means watching games stating what you think about it.  Asking questions as a fan about the play calling isn’t turning on the ole ball coach. 

My big concern would be he doesn’t feel has the personnel to call something else. And if not showing was the strategy I agree with the above this game was too big not to try. So I don’t think that’s it. 
 

Roll out side the pocket just once with a run pitch pass options?

 

And the colonels are better than most teams in the state so no panic or anything. But if 40-50% of your plays are QB draws I’m asking why.

Whoa! No one said threatening unless you know something. Hey if a kid doesn’t want to play or are unhappy with a situation, yeah I agree, move on. Grass isn’t always greener. 
 

I’m sure the coaches at Highlands are above “pressure” from parents right? At least I would hope so. 

All I was saying is I, me, myself would like to see the TE position utilized a little more. It’s never been a position Highlands has used a lot in the past so I guess why change now. Heck, even CCH underutilized greatest TE to ever play in NKY. Happens everywhere.

Got ya. I guess I should have looked at the final numbers then,  because I believe it was literally almost 50/50 split in the voting basically all week leading up to the game. 
 

With that said, I still think people were showing Highlands plenty of respect going into that game, especially considering they hadn’t beat CovCath in years. The whole disrespect card was kind of weak IMO, because I don’t think anyone was shocked at all with Highlands winning this one.

Dang it. I was thinking the same thing and hoping no one would speak it into existence. I feel like Eddie is way better than what he showed last night. I hope I am wrong.

Totally agree with everything you said. He is also a great DE! Super high motor that doesn't quit. So happy to see him be healthy and able to show what he is capable of.

Stop! It takes a lot more for 1 win over a CCH team that was not 100%. What main players are out for Highlands?Hey, I’m excited for Highlands and the boys for the big win, but this isn’t where this coaching staff is satisfied with. At least I hope not. Their job is to build Highlands back into a powerhouse year in and year out. Period. Not to satisfy people who once their kids play their 4 years and then move on down the road. Never to see them again. And that what was happening the last few years. Most of the HHS people that are on BGP know this. Just look how long they have been members. They are here for the long haul. 
I’ll keep rooting for the Birds. And not worry about feelings!

I've met EE many times, so don't trouble yourself with it.

And Wirth had bubble screen right, bubble screen left, but 80% or EE's play calling is QB draws and screens, with an occasional dive thrown in for good measure.

Beating a team by 11 points when they're missing multiple starters and playing with multiple injured starters is an embarrassment? Interesting.

So let me ask you this. You seem to have taken exception to Wirth's lazy offensive scheme where he relied heavily on running just a couple of different plays. Do you not think it's a problem that EE clearly relies heavily on only running a couple of different plays? Or is it okay when one does it but not okay when the other does?

Injuries is a bad excuse. Both teams had starters out.

I don't entirely disagree about saying that both teams having starters out. You're correct about that. I will say, I think having multiple players injured on the o-line is bound to make a significant difference in the game, and I think that showed with Cov Cath's inability to get Leen much yardage on Friday, as well as how many times Pitzer was hit. That said, I also think Highlands' defense had something to do with that.

Another thing I would say is that for the Highlands folks saying "if we hadn't turned over it could have gotten out of hand," (I don't believe I read you saying that FTLT) I personally think that's an erroneous statement. Turnovers happen through your offensive mistakes or defensive forced turnovers. It's part of game play. To me, saying something like "if we hadn't turned over as much as we did, the score could have been different" is as dopey as saying, "if we had scored on every drive we would have had more points."
