Raceland wasn’t pounding Russell early in the game. Russell had a chance to go up 14-0 but couldn’t get it done. QB threw a really bad pass in to the End Zone for a Pick. It was all Raceland from there. I would guess Raceland will get a heavy dose of Charlie Noon on Friday. Should be Electric in Ft Thomas.

I have Highlands winning like they did this past Friday night. If Raceland can actually run the ball like is being claimed that will hurt the Birds as their safeties were making to many tackles against a huge SK line. I have Highlands by 4 TDs and Noon better be touching the ball a lot. 
 

I remember Raceland was ranked top 5 in A in 1996 and NewCath went down there as a 4 seed at 5-5 and won 48-0 in the first round of the playoffs.

Yes, and Beechwood romped over them in the 1A title game a few years ago - but I think this Raceland team is different. We"ll find out Friday if that is true. If Highlands beats them by 4 TDs, 35-7 or similar, I will be surprised.

Raceland’s Offensive Line is nowhere near the size of Simon Kentons. Decent size but not enormous like the Pioneers were. QB is bigger than most of the Guys in the Trenches. QB is big! Maybe 220ish? And he can run. Crone like? Nah. Crone is a different Animal. Simon Kenton will suffer without Crone.

Highlands wont hold Raceland to 7 points. Noway. Now, will Raceland be able to contain all of Highlands Athletes? They seem to be getting going each week. Remember Benke 2 weeks ago wasn’t even taking snaps at QB. He is getting better by each rep.

If this game is close, then Highlands is further away than I thought.

Russell is better than they played against Raceland especially after Coach Maynard made some changes  on the line as evident by how Russell played right with Wheelersburg, Ohio in Week 3. Raceland is the better team but I don't feel like Raceland would win by 39 if they played again this season.

Russell lost to a really bad Boone County, did they just play bad in that game?

Yes they played a bad game and it was the 1st week of the season. Russell was driving for the win in the Boone county game and fumbled. I'd say Boone was lucky to escape with the win. The video is out there of all three games. You can see a big difference from week 1 all the way to week 3 for Russell.

Bird's are improving.  Hosea is definitely showing more at RB than Geisler; why isn't he getting the bulk of snaps?

Hosea has looked really good and is getting more carries every week. My guess on the number of carries is to keep them fresh. With Devon James out for the season, they are down to only two RBs. Noon obviously will get some carries and Benke has become the short yardage and goalline ball carrier.

Raceland plays a good brand of football. Physical and well coached. I'll take Raceland in this game 7 out 10 times.  Based on the posters on this board it seems like Highlands has some bad mojo around the team. 35-24, Raceland.
