We can always hope.

There is always the challenge in baseball about what did a player do this month or this week, and even with some what did he do today. Baseball is a marathon. Players who hit .300 can go two weeks with just a hit or two. When do you bench that .300 hitter? Or do you let them play through it? How long do they get to play through it? When do you put them back in the lineup from being benched because they are a .300 hitter? You can't get rid of every hitter that goes through a slump. Because every hitter goes through slumps. Last year Joey Votto hit .266, 34 HR's and 99 RBI's. Can this team bench that hitter? He has been through slumps like this regularly throughout his career. I would like to hear your thoughts, and the thoughts of others on these hitters?

Max Muncy is hitting .167 over the last two weeks. He has 1 HR and 3 RBI in that time. Bench him? How long?

Cody Bellinger over the last two weeks - 1 HR, 6 RBI, .192. Bench him? How long?

Nolen Arenado over the last week - 0 HR, 3 RBI, .167. Bench him?

Willy Adames over the last week - 1 HR, 2 RBI, .087. One of the leaders of the Brewers last year. Bench him?

The question was, what is wrong with Votto, reported to be on the injured list.  So ok, lets just assume he's not, has he actually been benched?  Seems to me as he has disappeared.

In reference to your above mentioned players, I can see giving your veteran player a little longer leash before giving them a day or two off.

"Overhyped" (according to some) Hunter Greene (7 2/3) and Art Warren (1/3) pitched a no hitter today and lost 1-0.

Well, at this point and time, he has certainly been overhyped.  A record of 1/6 and a 6 plus ERA.  You do remember Homer Bailey?

We need to give Hunter some slack.  He is only 22.
