This is great for KY football. KY needs more competitiveness in 6A. I know St. X is one of the big boys but it has been 12 years since they won a title. Now we need some other 6A schools to get into the mix, to at least be a legitimate threat. I know this is probably wishful thinking, but who else has the potential to be a threat in 6A?

Manual always seems to be on the cusp. Madison Central may be getting there. Ryle has the potential but can't quite seem to get over the hump. Can Bryan Station step it up a notch?

Nobody had Madison Central in preseason doing anything so always can be a surprise. Just so tough to beat the big 3 though and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Bullitt East was young and they should be a top contender outside of Jefferson County.

Congrats to X.  When the playoffs started I said I liked their chances in a rematch against Male.  Then I let the Manual and Madison Central game change my mind.  Guess I should stop second guessing myself.  Congrats again !!

I think back at how good that Manual defense was. Held Male to 23 points and St. X 16 if throw out safety St. X got. Just didn't have the offense.

Didn't they pound Trinity last week, and beat the "true pedigree" during the season or am I mistaken? I think he's won a couple at Male and had pretty good results against X and T.....at least as good as any public school has had. Congratulations to the Tigers and Male on fine seasons.

Coach Wolfe has been to 6A Championship 6 times and won two. That's great record playing in same class as T & X.

Yes and no, yes for anyone but Male, no for Male, or at least somewhere in the middle for Male.

Trinity has been in 11 and won 10. St. X has been in 4 and won 2.
