Series History: JC leads 1-0 all-time

Table Setter: It's only mid-November, but the Golden Eagles and Redhounds must already prepare for a state final level match-up. Such is life under the current RPI-centric portion of the postseason.

Two of the state's more powerful offenses will go toe-to-toe in southeastern Kentucky. If JC can slow the Hounds, they'll be the first to accomplish that this season. Corbin boasts a diverse attack that features weapons from sideline to sideline. Johnson Central prefers to shrink the field and hit you between the tackles, but it's been no less effective. 

They met in this round last season, with the Golden Eagles fending off the young Hounds, but the pups are grown this year.

This game deserves to be at least a State Semi-Final game and those teams practicing the day after Thanksgiving!

Not sure who to pick, but think it will be a good one!

I would anticipate a big part of JC's strategy is to lean on what they do best: get behind that mammoth offensive line and play keep away from Corbin. Basically just do JC things. Shorten the game and limit the big plays when the Hounds do have the ball.

I'm going out on a limb and picking Corbin by 3 touchdowns. I think all of us will see everything on the table for this game 35-14.

Before this past week, I would have said Corbin and very comfortable with that answer. I think I'm going to have to go with Johnson Central this week though. I think they are disciplined and will be able to slow the game down and control the clock to pull out avery close one. Good luck to both teams!
