Boyle County enters this game at 2-1. Last week they defeated Pulaski County 60-29. Henderson County enters at 2-0. Their last game physically played was August 20, a 31-13 win over Calloway County. The other being a Covid forfeit victory. The Rebels have moved to #3 in the 4A rankings while Henderson remains at #8 in 6A. 

Henderson County will play host to Boyle Friday night making this one of the longest regular season road trips in recent memory for Boyle. Boyle’s defense was in question after LCA ran straight through it a couple weeks ago but those questions were answered against Pulaski this past Friday holding the Maroons to 29 rushing yards. LB Cole Sims led the way with 14 tackles and a pick 6. The offense continued its momentum scoring almost at will.

Henderson County last played a game 3 weeks ago a win over 4A Calloway County. In that game the Colonels had lost of their success on the ground running for 211 yards and 3 scores. Their run D was equally as impressive only allowing 30 yards and forcing 3 turnovers. 

It will be interesting to see how Boyle handles a 3 hour road trip and how Henderson handles only having physically played one game so far this season. 

I think this is an interesting matchup. I think Boyle County wins.

Hendo a big 6A school always has size and speed.  Williams is the fast back and they have a D1 D-lineman - Saadiq Clements.  They love to grind you, slow the game.  They live to hit so I think this is a good matchup.

I love the logistics to this game as much as the matchup itself.

It's a 7:30 Central Time (CT)/8:30 Eastern Time (ET) kickoff.  It's a 3 hour hauling butt ride on a bus from Danville to Henderson.  So if you want to be at the field say an hour and a half early to get suited up, go to the restroom, and warmed up.  That is 4 pm Danville time (3 hours driving and a 1.5 to prep for game).  You have to eat, so that is 3 pm meet to eat and 4 pm ET rollin to Hendo.

So the game will last say 2.5 hours to make it easy or 11 pm ET.  I'm saying 1 hour to get everything packed up, players changed, last restroom break, food to go ready and load the bus at midnight ET.  And the bus rolls into Danville around 3AM Saturday morning!  WOW! 

Great commitment during a pandemic to make this happen!

Agree, but it's not the norm for a high school football game is what I meant.

Yikes that's a long drive. I wonder how that will take a toll on the players mindsets.

None at all.  Championship teams know how to handle any adversity.  It’s just a bus ride.

My computer rating says Boyle County by 30 but Henderson only has one game    against Calloway Co. Henderson's rating probably not very accurate. Need a couple more games to get a handle on them.

I expected this to be a closer game then most realize, I would still pick Boyle to win, but Henderson County is no pushover.

Being a Central Hardin fan, I am rooting for a physically and emotionally draining  game that takes a lot out of Henderson County! Yes, we have them next week.

Henderson will muddy it up.

I like this matchup just to see how Boyle handles a big school that has a physical style of play and has numbers. That's not something the Rebels see every year.
