Thank you. It's been a long day, but very enjoyable. I'm just happy to see these kids get a chance to play out their season and crown a champion.

Outstanding performance by the Highlands team; a total effort throughout.

They do in Basketball. Different types of athlete's.

I believe Region 11 does.

Vinson was a beast for the second time today - 20 pts, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, and a steal. Herald's three point shooting was a main catalyst for Highlands blowing this one open in the first half. He finished with 17 points, including five 3s, four coming in the first half. All five starters for Highlands landed in double figures.

Congrats to Highlands! The 9th region went so long without a state title, and now I believe 4 in the last 12 years. It definitely has became one of the best regions in the state!

Congrats Bluebirds Basketball Team, Coach Listerman and coaches,  winning the KY state basketball title for the first time in school history!

This team...... What a year!!!! Has to be one of the best shooting teams in KY high school history.  It’s amazing...

Congrats to Highlands!  Great effort to win this tournament!

They set the record for threes in the Sweet 16.

1997 State runner-up included players Jared Lorenzen and Derek Smith.
