Also to comment on the $16,000 pay. That definitely is more than the majority of coaches in KY. With that said, I don’t think it is a bad thing. I think most acknowledge coaches should be paid more for the time they put in. So Highlands a public Independent School taking a step in giving a big raise to their Head Football coach. Could be a good first step to eventually putting pressure on other schools to have to accept, that they may have to start paying coaches more. Usually once one school does something like this, it has a chain reaction. It may not happen right away, but I do think we will say the pay of coaches start to go up a decent amount over the next five years.

People really could get a bowl of popcorn, and sit down and start from page one and it would be like watching a movie. Highs and lows, conspiracy theories, dramatic twist that no one saw coming, mysteries, trying to guess what different things mean, and we haven’t even gotten to the conclusion yet. People are on the edge of their seats waiting to see how this dramatic movie will end. It definitely has been an entertaining thread.

Mark Peach would be a pretty good candidate, but I feel like Highlands should be able to get a better coach. Earlier in the discussion, there were some NKY coaches mentioned and they were shot down with a resume that does not live up to what Highlands was expecting. 

Can someone give a run down of Coach Peach. I know he was at Anderson County and made one state final, if I remember correctly. What makes him a potential candidate that Highlands fans would be excited about. I do remember he was in the cross district to NKY 5A district from 2011-2015 and did not have a ton of success against that district. 

I am a little disappointed... 90 pages in and we haven't mentioned the one man who is retired, rested and ready to expand his legend.  Chuck Smith used to be mentioned for every open job.  Chuck Smith, like his lesser known cousin, Chuck Norris will beat this job into submission.  Do it Bluebirds.  Make the hire.  Chuck Smith !!  ?

Coach Peach was at Anderson Co. from 2005-2019. Prior to that he was the HC at Campbellsville for two seasons. He made the finals in 2011 and semi-finals in 2013. When Anderson went down to 4A and had to go through Boyle and Lex Cath they never really made much noise. He was fired after the 2019 season and then went to Trigg Co. I do not see much on his resume to excite HHS...
