It's hard not to notice three of our more visible Boyle County fans voting for Bowling Green in the poll. Any reason in particular there, or just coincidence?

 

Well know big reason really, both are playing good ball at the right time and my head said Covington and by gut said Bowling Green. So I just desided to go with the gut.

They've played Cov Cath, twice, Highlands twice, Lexington Catholic Twice, Anderson County once, Cooper (I think) and Pulaski twice. I think this correct.

My honest opinion with no bias with either team. 1.) I can not get the 39-38 come from behind win over Lexington Catholic out of my head. 2.) Bowling Green's only loss to a Kentucky team is Trinity and St. X. I personally feel they are better than everyone thinks.

 

Covcath is a much different team now than back in early September, however it is possible that they play down to that level again. However, if we’re to pick one game as a measuring stick, one could also look to the 27-7 win over LaSalle, who is arguably better than Trinity or St. X. this year, and say Covcath should win this game easily. I personally thinks really is somewhat in the middle. Covcath wins but not in running clock fashion, likely by 2-3 scores.

I just don’t see a scenario the Purples get clocked, but that’s why they turn the lights on every Friday night. Expect it to be physical. Colonels have the best Run D around but for whatever reason, I think Bowling Green runs the ball 20-25 times anyway. How successful that is remains to be seen, but it’s been their bread and butter.

 

I really hope Tisdale plays.

To the Purple faithful, how big of a crowd will Bowling Green bring to CovCath? How big was the crowd they brought to South Oldham?

The BG crowd at South Oldham was enough to fill the visitor stands completely with a group standing on the track too. But those stand were pretty small. I would expect a similar number Friday.

The parking lot is immediately in front of the school and stadium. Overflow parking, if need be, is at The Gardens of Park Hills next door so long as they don't have it roped off for wedding reception parking only. Then there's also Notre Dame across Dixie Hwy, or the St. Agnes Church parking lot just up the road. I'd opt for St. Agnes over Notre Dame, but the walks are probably about the same, realistically.
