What is Baker exactly Brad 2.0? Does he offer anything else other than catching and shooting?

His defense wasn't bad in the last couple of games. So he's got that and height over Brad. Baker is looking more like Dominique Hawkins.

So in 2010 and 2015 if he had brought a team in, he would have said “we have our work cut out for us tonight men?” Lol

He specifically pointed out those mega star teams, I think you missed that part.

No, I didn't miss it. It was coach-speak that you are making more out of than what was there. You are trying to equate what he said to your narrative that Calipari is only capable of winning with mega-star level talent (which is a debatable point). I suppose he used this line since "they put on their gym shorts the same way you do" was utilized already this year.

Who knows? Cal plays him 40 seconds and if he misses, he gets yanked. He seems capable of guarding a little bit and creating, which is what UK needs at times.

It was shade to me, it’s they don’t have Zion and Barrett, we are as athletic as them and shoot as well as them, which they are and they did. As for your Cal only wins with mega stars, well Zion would have blocked that, maybe we have room for a mega star. End result an L at Rupp.

Doesn't Cal always say how they need the practice Nick to show up in games, and how they see him do it all the time in practice?

He very well could. I'll be honest, I have followed as much this year outside of playing games. Rarely listen and get on KSR, don't even check Twitter as much anymore. If it doesn't happen in a game, I probably don't know about it.

Perhaps my most frustrating play was when he tried an outlet pass at waist level to Quickly on a Defensive Rebound right in traffic. Picked off and turned into two points by LSU.

That play hurt so bad.

Agreed. There is no excuse to only playing Richards 3 minutes. Cal keeps blabbering that they need him to reach their full potential, but he refuses to give him any chances to contribute. It's near impossible to do anything when you get yanked for every tiny mistake. Zero chance I stick around if I'm Richards. I'd probably already have bolted honestly.

HE gets a chance everyday in practice to prove that he needs to play more.

As I said earlier this year. Your whole Cal can only win with mega stars, is mute and proven wrong already. The 2011 and 2014 teams showed that. This years team imo will show that too.

Good analysis.

However, the overhead shot of the goal is conclusive. It is conclusive because it shows the best view of the invisible cone above the rim. The other angle is fools gold because it shows a side view that can not reveal how much, if any of the ball existsin that cone. :thumb:

If the overhead camera was shooting directly down to the center of the basket, sure. Instead it is behind the backboard, and also creates a shot that doesn’t exactly tell the whole story of where the ball is on the cylinder. What the sideline angle shows that the top doesn’t is the trajectory of the ball moving away from the front of the rim. At the point it was tipped there was a zero percent chance that it was still in danger of being a made basket...

ESPN review disagrees 100% with your conclusion. You are correct that it was heading toward outside of cylinder; but still in it and that is offensive goaltending. Should have never come down to this though. Hit your FTs, especially front end of bonus.

I didn't know part of the rule was if it had zero percent chance of going in.

I still believe the overhead is much better at showing the ball in relation to the cone of interference.

Did he point out the height of the rim?

Gene Steratore and Jay Williams have both said it was goaltending.

Agreed on the last point. As the illustrious Randy Parker pointed out last week, free throws were an issue down the stretch.

Did he point out the height of the rim?

Beforehand he brought out a ladder and measured it for the team.
