But with comparing TD's you also have to take in consideration of a teams tendency's in the red zone. I was defending Brohm on this one because Louisville runs the ball more down there I am pretty sure!

But if he is one of the best then he should be able to make adjustments and complete passes true? He may look comfy in the pocket but look at the Rutgers game he was dancing like Jerry Springer in the pocket. Only a few times did he stay in there and attempt to make good throws. Instead he wanted to dance. One thing about Woodson is he has taken some sacks instead of making bad throws.

You should never take a sack late...you should throw it away, or try to scramble for some yards...all football minds know that...the way Brian was being hit, was evidence enough that he stayed as long as he could....actually his whole career he has been known to stay in the pocket until the very last second, often getting knocked around.

Dont leave your day job, you wont last a day as a NFL scout. Brohm at this time is not even close. You obviously missed him the other night in the 2nd half of the Ru game.

One half will not make up his future. Go to the websites, he has made countless throws that will wow you, and he also makes all of those intangible decisions that you would never grasp, becuase they simply work...when Brian feels he is ready there is a First Round draft pick coming his way.

Anyone who doesn't think Woodson is as good as Brohm at this point is drinking too much UL Kool-Aid, Woodson has had a huge year, another one like this next year with 8 or 9 wins and he will be a 1-2nd round Draft pick. Brohm has more potential in my opinion, but its potential, he hasn't really done a whole lot to maximize it

How can you compare numbers with a straight face when you have to acknowledge that Brohm's TD numbers are suppressed by a superior running game and consider Brohm's midseason surgery on his throwing hand thumb?

 

You certainly shouldn't bring out stats from the Cincy game, Boucher. This is an excellent example of a case where statistics just won't tell the story.

 

Woodson is a good QB. Top 20 in D-IA, and he'll make a pro roster for at least a year or two, maybe more if he continues to develop.

 

The NFL is the top meritocracy in all of sports. Nowhere else does the cream rise as fast or as reliably. Does anyone anticipate Woodson leaving for the draft this season?

Right now Mel Kiper doesn't have him in his top 8 Juniors which would more than likely put him out of the first round. I think if he comes back and has a healthy year he could play himself into the first round. However, I think the NFL has soured on drafting quarterbacks with potential highly. They seem to be more willing to take an "NFL ready" player such as Brady Quinn, Vince Young, or Matt Leinart with the higher picks. Because of his injuries I think Brohm has something to prove before he would go in the first round. Woodson definately would have to come back and have a good year to have any chance to be picked in the first round.

I like the way Brohm works the LOS..audibles and so forth...I havent seen that as much from Woodson. Much of the year, UK has run a sugar huddle with coaches calling in plays from sidelines after getting a look at defensive personnel. Have not seen a lot of audibilizing from Woodson.

Where was Brohm's audible skills in the Rutgers game...He had no clue the whole 2nd half...As far as the mobility goes, I have to wonder what you're watching..Brohm is slower afoot than Woodson..If he were mobile at all, he wouldn't have taken 10 sacks in the 2nd half..He would have scrambled out of the pocket and made some plays...Fact is, Brohm is strickly a pocket passer...

Guys please dont compare UK's QB to an elite, next Petyon Manning-type QB like UL has. :lol:

 

It doesnt matter to them that UK has played a much tougher schedule, and Woodson doesnt have near the O-line that UL has.

I think Brohm is a better prospect because he is so heady, but Woodson has played every bit as good as Brohm has played this year.

RockPride stats dont lie and he is somthing less than what you and I thought he would be but he still has alot going for him. A great blood line, his familys knowledge of what it takes and being right there to guide him is a huge asset. He just needs to get it done and whether or not he can will decide his fate. So far I'm not sure that will happen. He had a storybook HS career but that maybe an example of all is not what it seems. Woodson had no family ties to guide him like that of Brohm and was not surrounded by the best talent like Brohm had. Now at UL he is in the BE Conference where he is not subject to having to play the Florida's, LSU's, ect. Lets be honest here, over a 4 year career is there really any comparision to playing SEC competition compared to the occasional WV. That's easy, NO!

All that said Brohm is a okay qb right now that is struggling in my opinion but he may turn the corner and become the QB we all thought he was going to be or he may not. I hope he does, it would be a good thing for all in KY.

Brohm was sacked 10 times in the second half....he also tried, TRIED, and TRIED some more to audible...the line could not hear the checks, and Louisville even had to go to a slient count. Sucks indeed, but Brian was trying, as was everyone else on the 'Ville.
