He also had a multiple TD game against USF. More than that, Brohm threw for 354 yds against WVU and 324 against Cincy, and that's coming off having the muscles in his thumb reattached to the bone. Brohm was 10-14 against Miami for 181 yards in a shortened game. Say what you want about Miami's offense, but they are still ranked FIFTH nationally in total defense. Brohm threw 71% on them, and Louisville scored more on them than anyone else has all year.

You're right about the multiple td game against USF, I hadn't looked at his stats since the Rutgers game and was thinking he had 7 touchdowns in 7 games. I had forgotten that it was 6 in 7 games. However, while Miami may be 5th nationally in total defense they are only 37th in pass defense. While I was looking up Miami's defense I came across some interesting numbers in regards to the level of competition each quarterback has faced. National Rankings in Pass Defense Yardage Allowed are in () Brohm: Rutgers (3), USF (30), Pitt (33), Miami (37), Cincinnati (58), Syracuse (80), West Virginia (99), Kentucky (118) for an average of 59. Woodson: LSU (4), Georgia (5), South Carolina (25), Tennessee (31), Mississippi (52), Florida (55), Vandy (56), Central Michigan (83), Mississippi State (70), Louisiana-Monroe (57), Louisville (87) for an average of 47--of course this doesn't include Texas State which isn't ranked. Overall if you figure Texas State into the equation (which would push Woodson's average opponent's rank down into the 50's) they have played against very similarly ranked defenses, kind of ironic however, that the worst statistically ranked pass defenses that each faced was when their teams played each other.
December 3, 200619 yr BTW, Brohm now leads Woodson in passing efficiency by 9 points. Probably because Brohm appears to lead the nation in yards per attempt at 9.81. For the record, Woodson is right behind Brady Quinn.
