November 28, 200619 yr Sanders sends some in... usually in the no-huddle which UL doesn't run right? To say Woodson isn't allowed to check off by himself is wrong.Louisville runs the no-huddle, but not often. Petrino prefers a quick huddle. But when they do run it, the plays are already called or Brohm is making the audibles. They don't run up to the line and look over to the sideline. And I've seen Sanders send more in than just the no-huddle.
November 28, 200619 yr Woodson has the exact same number of games played (check ESPN, 30 to 30) and is a RS Junior and not a true Junior like Brohm. He's also never missed time for rehab. Woodson makes some calls himself, but Randy Sanders sends in a lot of the audibles in-game. Here's the C-J's fan blog freaking out over it after the South Carolina game, where it happpened a lot. But Brohm has started longer than Woodson, Brohm has just had to miss some games because of injury. Woodson's PT as a freshmen came only because Boyd was so bad in some games. Brohm from day 1 has been thrown in the mix, getting to play a few series a game I believe even when Lefors was there. Guys we both have great QBs, I just dont think the delay-of-game is a legit argument.

Woodson started before Brohm ever did (Brohm never started a game his freshman year, Woodson did) and Woodson has more starts than Brohm.
November 28, 200619 yr Once again, check ESPN. Woodson started before Brohm ever did (Brohm never started a game his freshman year, Woodson did) and Woodson has more starts than Brohm. Woodson may have STARTED a game, but, I know Brohm got alot more playing time his freshman year behind Lefors...He was playing at least 3 series every game....Woodson may have played 3 series all year...
November 28, 200619 yr Woodson may have STARTED a game, but, I know Brohm got alot more playing time his freshman year behind Lefors...He was playing at least 3 series every game....Woodson may have played 3 series all year...Isn't funny that when people 'know' without looking, they're almost always wrong? Woodson had 54 completions and 88 attempts his freshman year (492 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT.) UK must have been playing some wild football to get that much throwing done in three series. For the record, Brohm had 66 completions in 98 attempts for 819 yards, 6 TD and 2 INT. Can people please start checking ESPN?
November 28, 200619 yr I think there about the same... Brohm had more hype coming out of high school so of course people will think he is better... JMO
November 28, 200619 yr Woodson plays every game against some very good defenses. Brohm hasn't played a full season since he has started for louisville. Brohm is more impressive. HE makes better decisions. Woodson is the guy that I think could get the job done.
November 28, 200619 yr Does anyone think that either of these two could start for an NFL team today? I don't...I really like Woodson's size and I think he could be a starter one day in the NFL..

I think both could make a roster but not start right now....Woodson may be the better of the 2 in the long run because of his armstrength and size. Neither are going to impress you with there foot speed...
November 28, 200619 yr Author As far as coverage reads and checks you certainly have to give Brohm the edge, but to say Woodson isn't allowed or doesn't do it at all is not right.
November 28, 200619 yr I am a UK fan. However, I think that I would have more sucess claiming that I invented the questionmark than claiming that Woodson is better than Brohm.
November 28, 200619 yr I feel like Woodson has had a better season than Brohm has. Hes proved to be durable after being sacked 30+ times and never having to leave the game. Hes also put up some amazing numbers. Brohm has been hurt and hasnt put up the numbers Woodson has. Woodson has had to carry the team several games by throwing a lot, even though he felled to do so against LSU, while Brohm was only asked to do that for 1 half against Rutgers and didnt do it. Its not all Brohm or Woodson's fault in those situations. Brohm is a little better at this point, but you can't go wrong with either player.
