November 26, 200619 yr Overall, Andre played pretty well today I thought (haven't seen any stats yet). I thought he played very well also, very efficient, and balanced with the run..maybe one of his better games. He did seem to tighten up a bit inside the 20...with today's result, I imagine with some hard work he will overcome that also....next year should be great for him.
November 26, 200619 yr I will say that Brian seems to be exactly back to any pre-injury form...and right at the right time.....He faces a new opponent next weekend.

I just wanted to point out something that a lot of people discounted in this conversation, the difference between Brohm and Woodson's mental games.

I just wanted to point out something that a lot of people discounted in this conversation, the difference between Brohm and Woodson's mental games. Woodson did make the audible that led to their first touchdown so it would appear he's progressing. However, I will agree that there's no way that he OR the coaching staff should have allowed the delay penalty to occur.

You are trying to nit pick and find something wrong with Woodson. Hes a great QB. But your crazy about Brohm so it kills some people to think of anyone playing for UK could be compared to Brohm.

It was so obscure and meaningless to the outcome of the game that I'm sure no one noticed it.

No, but you are going to try to find any mistake Woodson makes and then talk about how Brohm would never know that. Please, make an argument over their play and all that, but your argument is dead especially considering that Joker Phillips took full credit for the mistake because he did not get a play in to Woodson in time. BTW Carson Palmer just had a delay-of-game call.

And this is not just any mistake. It's a mistake that happened to Woodson because of his lack of reading and check-making skills. This is an area where Brohm is considered top notch. Joker can take all the blame he wants, that's what a coach should do, particularly since the coaches have allowed Woodson the crutch of audibles coming in from the sidelines all season.

Crutch of audibles? Its like I said, please come up with a better Brohm-Woodson argument than a delay of game caused by the coaches not getting the play in, in time.
November 26, 200619 yr Never thought I would say this... I do not know much, but when we are having to disect one play (crucial play, none-the-less) and comparing imaginary scenarios as to what one QB would have done, these QBs are a lot closer than a lot would like to admit. Even though UK lost yesterday, I came away more impressed with Woodson than I have ever been. Both QBs are playas.
November 26, 200619 yr Will this thread ever die? UofL/Brohm fanboys... get over it. Brohm MAY be the better QB, BUT its an extremely compelling argument that Woodson is every bit as good. Its impossible in this situation to say one is unequivocally better than the other. This is ESPECIALLY true when you're trying to say the QB with the FAR inferior states is undoubtedly better. If you think Brohm is better, fine. He may be, but you MUST acknowledge that currently Woodson is playing as well if not better. Its simply a fact. Woodson has produced better stats playing at least as difficult a schedule behind an inferior line.
November 27, 200619 yr ]If stats are all that matter, how is it that there is a debate about whether Manning or Brady is the best QB in the league? That's hardly a settled question.
