This thread looks like a clear battle of which side you're on. Louisville fans are talking careers, while UK fans are talking about this year. Many of the Louisville fans insist on talking about the careers of the two, maybe because this year statistically, Woodson is having the better year. And as I mentioned in an earlier post of mine, Woodson is clearly more valuable to his team than Brohm. But the title of the thread is simply "Brohm vs. Woodson." It doesn't say which has had a better career. So I don't see why Louisville is throwing a fit when we talk stats. Yes, I admit, Brohm has had a better career. But that's not necessarily what the thread is about. Loserville insists on talking down to the rest of us, probably, because we're not from Louisville or we don't cheer for their precious Cardinals. They insist on defending everything Louisville regardless of the situation. Just like with Brad Durham. I know it's been covered for weeks, so I won't say anything other than this isn't the first time Petrino has pulled a scholarship from somebody. He actually did it to a player that was on campus and had actually played in games. Pitiful.

 

Who's the better QB? It's an endless debate. Who's had the better career? Brohm. Who would I take right now? Woodson.

I'm not a Louisville fan, I'm a UK fan. Woodson has had an excellent year and if I read correctly, the original thread asked "should there be a debate"....which can be determined this year, career or who anyone wants to discuss.

 

Give me a choice between the two, I take Brohm....Has Woodson had an excellent year....Yes but that is only this year.

 

Don't see the relevance of the scholarship comment, regarding the QB debate myself.

Woodson has one good year and some are ready to crown him, or compare him to Brohm....that is part of what's wrong with UK fans, they can't see the entire body of work, career or how a team does, they only see today....

 

Louisville has played AND defeated much better teams, than UK has....period and once UK can consistently compete in the nationally ranked games, against strong opponents and have a balanced offensive attack, then this discussion might be worthy.

 

Finally winning an SEC game, against a ranked team is not consistency, which Brohm has brought.

I think many people would agree that UK's biggest problem was probably defense. Except for LSU, the offense has played pretty good. But I'm tired, so my mind could be gone right now. Last time I checked, the QB doesn't play defense. So just because UK doesn't win games, doesn't mean that the QB didn't play well. Look at Carson Palmer this past weekend. 400+ yards and 3 tds, yet they still lost. So does that mean that Palmer stunk it up? No.

I would say statistically one is having a better year (Woodson), but after watching both careers, at this point I still say that Brian is better, could Woodson end up better, SHO NUFF.

If the question was who has had the best career then there would be Brohm. Woodson has had a better season in my mind. Hes playing on a team with statistically one of the worst defenses in D-1 football, yet he is going to probably lead the team to a 7 win season. Brohm has been hurt and missed time and hasnt put up great numbers. All that factors into Woodson having a better season. I think next year the 2 teams, UL and UL would be a little closer to each other and if Brohm was to stay we could see a more accurate comparison.

You have a good point but when your constantly behind by 20± or more, forced to throw the ball....your stats will reflect that but that doesn't mean, you're being effective, capable or generating those numbers against the top line competition from quarter 1 to 4.

Everyone keeps saying that Woodson is having an excellent year, but it's only been one year. Please point out to me when Brohm has had a great year,other than his sophmore year. This year he's been okay, and his freshman year he was okay. Brohm has had 1 great year, and Woodson has had 1 great year.

Yeah.. well those are also the only two games THIS YEAR that they've been behind by 20+ or more.

 

Brohm may be the better QB, but this inability of so many people to even CONSIDER Woodson might be better is really amusing.

 

It should be expected though, since Brohm has also been called better than Peyton Manning in this thread.

 

Wake up people. Woodson is for real.

We are lucky to be able to watch not just one, but two top flight college QB's playing instate and actually being raised instate. Can't we all be happy with that?
