6 more times a game is substantial. UK's running game is easier to defend than UL's. Also the short runs puts Woodson in much more 2nd and long and 3rd and long situations.

Louisville only runs the ball six more times per game than Kentucky. Just because it's a futile enterprise doesn't mean UK never rushes.

The one thing I will say about UK running the football is, the last 3 games they are averaging 145.3 yds. per game. A lot better than the first 7 games.

I have posted earlier about this. Both are fine QB's. Woodson has had a better year statistically. Brohm has been hurt plus UL was running the ball better than UK. They scored more on the ground. UK is running the ball better now, so maybe Woodson doesn't throw as many TD's the last three games. Either way, I think both will play on Sundays. I am a UK fan, but, I know a good player when I see one, whether they play for the Cats, Cards, Or Buckeyes, or Trojans. They are both good QB's. Woodson has just developed later.

If my math is correct, and I'm not promising that it is, Brohm averages 27 attempts per game. Woodson averages 30. 3 attempts per game is not a great deal. Brohm throws a td every 31 attempts and Woodson throws one every 14 attempts. Statistically if Brohm and Woodson had the same number of attempts at 275, Brohm would only have 8 tds to Woodson's 20.

 

So who is the better QB? We could argue until both have graduated college and retired from the NFL (if they make it) and we would still be disagreeing like this. But I think by the stats, Woodson has had a better year and has meant more to his team that Brohm has.

 

Now that's a statement that I agree with...and I think it would be hard to argue otherwise.

Okay........really you can't really compare the two. Louisville a top ten team..........UK top fifty team. Two different offenses. REally you can't compare the two.

I think alot of Woodson supporters are missing the point here. This year's KY team was supposed to be Offensively supported by the legs of Little. Now UK hasn't ran the ball that well all year, but that has really opened up the pass. Burton staying healthy all year has something to do with it also. Woodson is good, but he'll never be feared like B. Brohm. The only difference I see between the talent level at UK and Lou. is at QB and on the Defensive side of the ball. Teams play UK run first, or at least they did earlier this year. And Woodson gets most of his good stats against the better teams when the game is pretty much decided. Brohm does remind alot of people of Peyton, but I don't think he'll have as much trouble winning the big one. And yes, Rutgers is better than LSU. I don't think you'll ever see B. Brohm QB a goose-egg game like Woodson did. As for the comparison of stats, a Goose-egg speaks volumes. More than any TD pass.

What big one? Are you saying Super Bowl? That's a big prediction. He could end up in Detroit or something and never make the playoffs. Or do you mean the national championship? Well last time I looked, Brohm won't be winning that one this year either.

 

The way you talk, he's already better than Peyton. Are you saying college Peyton, or Peyton now? I think you could argue that he's the best ever in the NFL, even if he hasn't won the SB. And he must have been pretty good in college to be the #1 pick.

When he came back, he looked ok to me. If he wasn't able to throw, maybe he should've set out another game or so. They were still winning without him. It has been stated by Brohm supporters that Louisville is mainly about the run, so it wouldn't matter who was QB then.

I think it was clear they wanted to knock the rust off before WVU and Rutgers if he could go. Since it should be clear you watched the UC and Cuse game, what are your thoughts on his performance???
