Do you not watch many UL games, or have not heard that they are one of the top scoring teams in the nation? If they are one of the top scoring teams in the nation, that means they probably are in the red zone an awful lot every single game right? So yeah it is pretty possible to have it both ways here, because yeah he has most of his touchdowns from inside the red zone, but also they have just ran the ball in alot of the times while in the red zone. While UK they usually HAVE to pass the ball to score tds...

 

Then you say Brohm isn't capable of the big plays, but once again have you not seen many UL games, he does throw the deep ball and completes alot of them on perfect passes. Now is it his fault that his receivers can't break it the rest of the way for a td after they catch the deep ball? So this once again brings us back to the red zone argument because most of these deep balls do get them to the red zone, but then sometimes they dont have to pass the ball to get it in the end zone then...

 

Yeah Woodson has the better stats right now, but that doesn't really mean he is the better QB. I mean just look at the Cowboys QB Romo, since he been starting he has the 2nd best passing rating in the NFL only behind Manning. So does this mean though that he is better than Brady, McNabb, Palmer,etc...

 

Yeah stats can give you some argument, but its not the whole argument. Woodson this year has improved alot and has narrowed the gap between him and Brohm from what it once was, but Brohm is still the better QB...

Cantwell played against Miami, K-State, and MTSU....

And isn't K-State and Miami the 2 schools that UL were using as there quality non-conference wins when they were defending there weak schedule everyone was talking about...Which is it? IMO, you defeated your argument...That even makes Cantwell look all the better...

It's obvious that some don't and just look at stats..they don't see his presnap reads, his leadership, his WONDERFUL audibles, that seem to always put the Cards in the right position, his ability to fire a laser, or throw a brilliant fade in the corner, to purposely underthrow to a 6'6" receiver against a 5'9" DB....Brian is no good.

Woodson battled in spring and summer camps to retain his job after a disappointing 2005 season in which he threw as many interceptions as touchdowns. Instead of getting down on himself, the junior signal caller responded well to the competition by improving his work ethic and dedication. The result has been a far more efficient season in which he is completing nearly 61 percent of his throws with 24 touchdowns compared to only seven interceptions. It's safe to say that job security will no longer be an issue for Woodson in the future.

I know who is better, And I know who is having a better year. but it still don't change the Fact that I know Who is better. :thumb:

This is all I'll say.

 

While Brohm is the better player Right Now, Woodson, Has only showed 1/10th of what he can do.

 

Brohm and Woodson are almost equal, With Woodson having More improvement then Brohm, We have seen what Brohm can really do, But Woodson hasn't even came close " YET ".

I never said Cantwell was better...I never said Woodson was either...I would really like to see Brian do well in his career at UL and on into the NFL...My only point is some people are very narrow minded when it comes to Brohm...They refuse to see any weaknesses and are so caught up in the hype, they can't be objective...When someone asked a legitimate question, they take it as an insult for even asking when, as others have pointed out, there are legit points to justify an answer either way...No, Woodson wasn't ranked as high coming out of HS, but, guess what Joe Montana was a 6th rd pick and Tim Couch was supposedly Mr Everything and a #1 pick in the draft...Now, who would you say was better there...HS prospects don't always work out the way people think they will, some decline and others improve and I think thats what we have between Brohm and Woodson...

Let me rephrase that cause I agree...Brohm hasn't declined as much as Woodson has improved...I just feel Brian has yet to reach the potential that everyone thought he'd be at, at this point in his career and that could be attributed to injuries...Woodson has probably exceeded most peoples expectations, at this point in his career...

One thing that has gotten under my skin on here is all the talk about the "Red Zone". A common excuse about the lack of Brohm's TD's has came from the fact they run the ball so much in the Red Zone. Yet, ever since the WV game a commo thread that has been addressed about this UL team has been the fact that they have appeared to become a different team in the red zone and have not converted a lot of opportunities into TD's. I attempted to find Louisville's Red Zone stats which feature their overall percentages, in particular how many resulted in Red Zone rushing and passing TD's. If someone can find that I would appreciate it.
