Brohm - Woodson Debate

Featured Replies

You're right....you know more than 1,000s of experts, scouts, etc...AND know more than the U of L staff that watches all of the QB's everyday. I can't believe that we are all being mislead like this....what a tragedy, sorry.

These are the same people who ranked Tim Couch as high as he was.

I know that Brohm is probably the better QB, but at least be honest enough to admith that Woodson's having the better season (so far).

You cant have it both ways. You make it sound like he went up against a solid defense in WVU and everyone know that isnt the case. Outside of a sorry pass defense of WVU and Kentucky, what has Brohm done this season?

Destroyed Miami...put 354 on Cincy.

I disagree...not silly at all....Woodson has a much stronger arm and has a very good touch on his throws...I'll give Brohm the edge in reading defenses and a better feel in the pocket, but, other than that, I feel things lean toward Woodson..IMO, Brohm is a good short to middle route thrower, but lacks zip on the long balls..It looks to me like he lofts everything or is much more a finesse passer than anything..I just don't see the armstrength everyone talks about...Woodson, on the other hand, has a cannon...

I think Brohm's arm is better, mainly because his motion is so much more quick and there's less motion to it.

Statisticaly? Yes...but given the overall goings on of the season, no I will not concede that.

Miami     Cincy

He was killing Miami...he was 10-14 when he went down.

Miami is awful...

Their pass defense isn't all that bad...neither is their overall defense...just because they are 5-5 doesn't give their defense justice/.

Brohm might be the better QB...down the road...I dont know...only time will tell. BUT Woodson is having a TREMENDOUS season. He is the 10th ranked QB in the nation right now. Brohm has struggled this year...rightfully so after the knee injury and the thumb.

Better overall? I dont know. Playing best? Woodson.

^ I don't think that you can only look at statistics....If Brian was healthy all year and playing Woodson's season he would likely have more yards...but less TD's being that U of L tends to run for a lot of TD's

what does that mean??? Playing Woodson's season? And I am not just looking at TD's but the all stats. I just think Woodson is having a better year.

Andre Woodson has improved this season much more than Brian Brohm. This is because Andre Woodson had much more room for improvement than Brian Brohm.

Miami is awful...

Were you saying that before that game? ;)

This was your earlier quote:

He's been hurt twice in his entire life...both of them quite freakish in how they happened. He has fully recovered from both of those injuries so I hope that they were more "bad luck" than commonplace.

It would seem that you can't make up your mind. Is he healthy or are the injuries the reason for no multi-touchdown games this year. I never did get a responce to the Peyton Manning comparison. If I'm not mistaken Manning averaged much more than a touchdown a game in his junior year. Oh and before you say that Louisville is much more ground oriented that was with Travis Henry, Jamal Lewis and Onterrio Smith in his backfield. Brohm and Woodson are good--neither one is in the same ballpark with Peyton.

They were hanging on by the skin or their teeth to the top 25 and the Larry Coker death knell was already in full force. The announcers talked repeatedly about how far Miami had fallen.
