November 12, 200619 yr Louisville – 9/24 (37.5%) 231 yards, 3 TD Texas State – 13/20 (65%), 197 Yards, 1 INT, 3 TD Ole Miss – 22/34 (64.7%), 293 Yards, 3 TD Florida – 26/37 (70.3%), 210 Yards, 1 TD Central Michigan – 20/32 (62.5%), 266 Yards, 1 INT, 4 TD South Carolina – 18/31 (58.1%), 289 Yards, 1 INT, 1 TD LSU – 14/37 (37.8%), 1 INT, 151 Yards, 0 TD Mississippi State – 19/28 (67.9%), 284 Yards, 1 INT, 3 TD Georgia – 23/32 (71.9%), 204 Yards, 2 INT, 2 TD Vanderbilt – 29/42, 450 Yards, 4 TD Nice try Jim, but your speculation is a little off. And somebody mentioned that Vandy is (was) the #17 pass defense... I stand corrected. Hats off to Woodson for his consistency. :thumb:
November 12, 200619 yr Are you serious? Brohm hands down. Brohm is way better...better on long balls...better on touch passes...has a better feel in pocket...and is better in reading defenses. Andre has improved and will be much better next year...but the comparison is silly. How do you explain Woodson blowing him away statistically while playing against much better teams.
November 12, 200619 yr Nothing brave about it. Look Andre has made a great improvement. Yesterday, he had 3-4 open receivers for TD's and flat missed them. Andre is not very mobile and still takes unnecesary sacks...he is getting better and has done it behind a line that is average. Brohm is a first round pick...he can change so many things at the LOS. He is fairly accurate. Woodson has had games where he was taken to the shed...see LSU. I am not certain that Brohm is the best quarterback on the Louisville team much less a first round pick.
November 12, 200619 yr I am not certain that Brohm is the best quarterback on the Louisville team much less a first round pick. Look, I can wish as hard as I want to be a millionaire, but that doesn't necessarily make it so.
November 12, 200619 yr I am not certain that Brohm is the best quarterback on the Louisville team much less a first round pick. You're right....you know more than 1,000s of experts, scouts, etc...AND know more than the U of L staff that watches all of the QB's everyday. I can't believe that we are all being mislead like this....what a tragedy, sorry.
November 12, 200619 yr Agreed. Brohm has one bad half and he's suddenly slipped into the 7th round. Woodson has played well this year; you can't take that away from him. But I would suspect a game-by-game look at his numbers would reveal he loads up against the weak links on the UK schedule and fades when the opponents are toughest. Brohm had one of his best games of the year against WVU. You cant have it both ways. You make it sound like he went up against a solid defense in WVU and everyone know that isnt the case. Outside of a sorry pass defense of WVU and Kentucky, what has Brohm done this season?
November 12, 200619 yr ^ He wouldn't have as many TD's...U of L rushes for quite a bit of TD's they have every since Brian has been at Louisville. True what is their rushing TD total compared to UK's?

Andre has improved and will be much better next year...but the comparison is silly. I disagree...not silly at all....Woodson has a much stronger arm and has a very good touch on his throws...I'll give Brohm the edge in reading defenses and a better feel in the pocket, but, other than that, I feel things lean toward Woodson..IMO, Brohm is a good short to middle route thrower, but lacks zip on the long balls..It looks to me like he lofts everything or is much more a finesse passer than anything..I just don't see the armstrength everyone talks about...Woodson, on the other hand, has a cannon...
November 13, 200619 yr This time last year it would have been a run away for Brohm. This season, Woodson is getting better and better but is still not at the same level as Brohm. One thing to think about, Woodson plays better defenses week in and week out than Brohm does. Brohm has played against a good Miami, West Virginia, and Rutgers defense. Woodson has played against Louisville, Florida, LSU, Georgia who all have good defenses. Woodson has put up good numbers this year in a league known for defense. Brohm is a top 5 QB in the nation, Woodson is a top 5 QB in the SEC.

November 13, 200619 yr True what is their rushing TD total compared to UK's? But we're not comparing the rushes. We are simply comparing QB's!
November 13, 200619 yr Brohm had one of his best games of the year against WVU. So did UC's backup qb. Not a good benchmark. Brohm is a first-round pick regardless of what year he decides to come out. Woodson will get the chance to be an NFL qb. I'm thrilled for the kid that he has proved his doubters wrong. As one of his few supporters last year, I'm enjoying his season immensely.
