November 10, 200619 yr I don't think they choked, I just think they were out coached, and out played with Rutger's hustle and heart. I agree. I don't want to hear that Louisville didn't come out to play in the second half or didn't show up. Rutgers made Louisville play bad and Louisville was out coached in the second half. The better team tonight won. It might be different if they played again.

Say Michigan beats Ohio State at home and then they play again and Ohio State wins. Even though you would have the two best teams playing in the national championship, you could still have a split national championship. (Michigan gets more points from some for winning at OSU, OSU gets more points with others for winning at a neutral site after weeks of preperation.) The BCS itself would produce a split champion and the system would be defeated. Further, I don't want state up North fans yapping for years how they were really the national champions if they split the series - that would be annoying. The AP is no longer a part of the BCS, so there will be no split BCS Title. I'm just a fan of the two best teams in the land playing for the title...

I figured I'd change my avatar to add to the controversy. In my opinion, if you play in a so-called "BCS conference" and you go undefeated, you get a shot at the national title. I think the only plausible solution is to have a playoff system and determine a true champion.

November 10, 200619 yr UL didn't handle adversity very well. First time they have faced it this year? Brother Brohm was all over his brother rather than trying to devise something up to counter what RU was doing. It was amazing to see what RU did to them in the second half. They simply flat blew UL up. And the last play they didn't sit back, they brought heat. They kept chopping. Great play call on the third and six. They nailed the outside backer on that side.

November 10, 200619 yr I told my dad tonight that I wouldn't be suprised to see Louisville get all they want and maybe even beat tonight. It's tough to win your biggest game ever then go on the road to a team that can pressure you. UofL flat out got punched in the mouth tonight! Rutgers out hustled them all night and they DOMINATED up front on both sides of the ball. I always wondered how Brohm would respond with a lot of pressure from a defense on him. He looked like Tim Couch did with the Browns. No line, no running game and WR's dropping balls. I am a big Brohm fan but it's nice to see UofL fans that dog Couch get a taste of what Tim Couch dealt with in Cleveland. I'd like to have seen the line of Rutgers winning the Big East at the start of the season. While I'm not a fan of the confrence, Rutgers sold me on their team.

November 10, 200619 yr There is still an AP champion though. If the AP poll had never been a part of the BCS there still would've been a split champion that one year.
