November 10, 200619 yr Rutgers did to Louisville what WVU didn't have the "insert word" to do...they brought the heat all night and it disrupted Brohm & Co. Great, great game. I really don't think Louisville was overlooking Rutgers, but at the same time, they weren't ready for the physical play Rutgers brought to the table. Man, I never thought I would be saying that.:creepy:
November 10, 200619 yr How about the offsides call to give ITO another shot at the chip shot!!! Tough break for UofL, Gay was offsides and it looked like he did that on a blind guess at the snap count.
November 10, 200619 yr Rutgers will probably rise to about #8 in the polls. Louisville will fall out of the top 10 and WVU may drop by association. The Big East will take a big hit. You can't blame Gay for jumping offside when the defense couldn't stop a team running very conservative plays for the last five minutes and the offense couldn't move the ball at all the whole 2nd half. This loss was a team effort.

November 10, 200619 yr As I was watching the last few minutes I was thinking maybe UL should have let Rice score after they let them down inside the 20, other wise they were never going to get their hands on the ball again. I know the offense hadn't done anything second half but it's just a gamble either way. Without getting their hands on the ball again it was pretty much over at 3 min. to go. :thumb: Pretty much the sentiment I expressed in the game thread. I'll grant you, to go the full length of the field for a TD under a minute would be daunting, but 60 yards in two seconds was worse. Should've let them score.
November 10, 200619 yr Tough loss for UofL. I would have liked to have seen a bunch of local guys in the national title game. I feel bad for them. UK fans should be ashamed of themselves for posting negative stuff about the Cards at this point. Does 59-21 ring a bell?
