Not only would it have been a mistake (one of Hunter's big mental weaknesses at this point in his development is making checks at the line and calling protections- sure he's tough when he takes hits, but he takes way more than he should) but it's not something Petrino would have done. I think it would have done Brian good to stand on the sidelines...next to his brother...and see from a different perspective what the Rutgers D was doing....then maybe Brian could have done better.....if he got his head right....Also when you pull a player as competitive as Brian...sometimes you light that competitive fire that was missing in the second half.....Put Hunter in for a series and then ask Brian if he is ready to lead this team.....I am not saying that Hunter is the better QB...

It wouldn't necessarily have been because of anything inherently superior about Hunter (maybe a change in play calling makes a difference, maybe a running back breaks one, etc) but now you can't just pullHunter and put Brohm back in.
November 11, 200619 yr Louisville didn't choke...Rutgers punched them right in the mouth and took it from them. I could not agree more. :thumb: I really don't understand the choke excuse by many of the UL fans. Rutgers simply took it to them.

If you want to be a big boy program, when you lose, expect a lot to come your way; especially when the school is within the same state the website is named after. Plus, if you read it, the majority of the thread is about the BCS from here on and gametime plugging Michigan for the title game

November 11, 200619 yr LOL.....the reason why the thread is so long is because there is a 100 posts talking about the thread being so long. As for Brohm, that pressure was just too much and I dont really think he choked. Did he make several mistakes? Yes, but he also for the 1st time this year did not have time to just sit back there and pick defenses apart. UL fans got a taste of what UK fans have had the last 3 or 4 years that 2nd half, watching teams pin their ears back and beat up on our QB.
