I've never heard of the kid and I don't know whether he plans to transfer or not. If he decides that he would like to transfer to Trinity, he should be treated the same as any other student - no better and no worse.

I misspoke and generalized. My impression was that the team chemistry was off. Don't know the young man. Just my uneducated impression.

It is my personal feeling having a son graduate from Trinity,that no transfers be allowed beyond the sophomore year. Having paid four years of tuition for a diploma from Trinity i resent the fact someone can transfer in for one year and earn the same designation. There would be rare exceptions to the rule, but those should be heavily scrutinized.

 

I transferred to Trinity my junior year after spending my freshman year at Butler County, and my sophomore year at Seneca. Seneca was failing me academically. My dad put me in Trinity, and I strived. What's to scrutinize? Is my diploma not worth the same?

Would in the Frankfort community is it’s a done deal. He will be attending starting January. His father has moved to Louisville.

 

He is a very good young man and an outstanding athlete. He has several D-1 offers already.

This young guy is a tremendous athlete. His dad was a tremendous athlete. His uncle was a tremendous athlete. His great uncle was a tremendous athlete. If he was worried about being seen this would have happened 2 years ago. Obviously, If he transfers then there must be a good reason.

I don’t have a dog in this fight but I was wondering how many JRs apply for a transfer to Trinity & STX for their SR year and how many are accepted. Not just athletes but all students. IIRC, years ago STX would not accept a SR transfer for any reason, even if a student moved in from out of town. But like everything else, things change.

This will not happen. I can promise you it will not. Wandale will graduate from Western Hills. He is a great kid and would be successful wherever he was. Nice thread though.
