June 28, 20179 yr I left early this morning to check out the drive. At 6:30am the traffic sign at Mineola (275E approaching 7175N) said 30 minutes to downtown, which was right on, got downtown at 7am. It wasn’t bad at all but there’s no way I’m getting up that early the rest of the summer. LOL. Anyway…. When I passed the construction there were 2 bridge workers chilling out, sitting on the concrete walls near the edge of the bridge, legs dangling. I assume there’s space between them and the drop off to the river??? But it made me panicky to see, lol. When I first started reading that I thought you were upset they were taking a rest, then realized hmmmm perhaps he's right and they're already contemplating jumping, 5 days into this project.
June 28, 20179 yr Tuesdays commute to Eden Park took longer than usual. I left around 6:22 and entered our work garage at 7:10. That is about 22 minutes than my average. I decided to go home via the Taylor Southgate Bridge. Of course they are also working on that side of the river, I can't believe they didn't have that work complete all the while knowing about the BS projects impact. It took me 50 minutes, which is an extra 15.
June 28, 20179 yr Currently in Seattle Washington! Trust me, we have no traffic problems even on our worst days like they have here everyday.
June 28, 20179 yr Currently in Seattle Washington! Trust me, we have no traffic problems even on our worst days like they have here everyday.Be it Seattle or any other number of cities, this point is spot-on.
June 30, 20179 yr My 15 minute drive home at 3:00 lasted 40 minutes today, 275 to 471........what a joke!
June 30, 20179 yr My 15 minute drive home at 3:00 lasted 40 minutes today, 275 to 471........what a joke! Stay to the right and get off in Wilder or NKU exit and make your way to Bellevue down back roads.
June 30, 20179 yr Had traffic tonight just before the bridge on 75 south. Took about 20 minutes to get through around 7pm. Unfortunately got to see the wreck on 75 south in florence up close right after it happened. It was bad, very very very bad.
June 30, 20179 yr Saturday, coming from the south on 71/75, I ran in to 4 lanes stopped dead south of Erlanger. I called RTS and he had me get off at exit 184, take the road there to Dixie Hwy, and head north. I ran into some stop and go on the twisty part of West Pike just before going into Covington, still that route seemed much faster than standing still on the interstate. The exact route I've been taking to work each day since the closures.
June 30, 20179 yr Today the morning commute was about 10 minutes longer than average. The trip home was the worst so far, 60 minutes. I'm still baffled the city of Newport didn't make sure their construction was completed before the BS project started.
June 30, 20179 yr Stay to the right and get off in Wilder or NKU exit and make your way to Bellevue down back roads. All 3 lanes were backed up at Turkeyfoot.....at 3:00 ......I got off at 3L and took Madison Pike all the way to 12th Street and crossed into Newport.
June 30, 20179 yr Crossed the 471 bridge last night in rush hour (as i always do) to park downtown for the Reds game, and had no issues.
June 30, 20179 yr Stay to the right and get off in Wilder or NKU exit and make your way to Bellevue down back roads. Not sure when this starts but this will not help matters.
