Brent Spence Bridge Maintenance Project

Featured Replies

I have tried a few different routes to try to circumvent the bridge. Still can't find one that no one else has thought of.:linkme:

Only good thing about working a holiday is that I do not expect any problems today.

Where are you coming from?

Mason County

I always knew you was a Royal.:D

This afternoon 275 from the Airport to the Wilder exit was a breeze, then it became a "log jam" getting on 471.

What too many printer parts scattered around creating road hazards?

275W looked UGLY around 4:45 pm today. Thank goodness I was going east.

I'm over that log jam.

I felt sorry for those folks, that was awful looking.

It's getting real old.

Today was the first day I didn't have a huge back up going from 275 E to 471 N on my way home. It was great.

I feel like traffic has definitely gotten worse in the mornings this week.

I had it smooth sailing today, but the last week or so has been a lot worse it seems.

I added onto my backroads tour of Campbell and Kenton to include driving through Latonia so I am completely off the interstates now. Life is good.

I would say, for me, and I have a 26 mile commute each way, the impact on my TIME has been negligible, but I'm most assuredly putting an extra 10-12 miles a day on my vehicle due to the different routes I'm taking. It isn't taking me any longer, either in the morning, or in the afternoon, but I'm seeing a lot more of the east side of Cincinnati than I ever did before. I will also add this: I'm very likely to continue my PM drive route versus the bridge, even after completion, to avoid the stand-still traffic from 71 south near the baldwin building to the top of the cut in the hill. I will for sure resume taking the Brent Spence in the AM drive though, as soon as it is wide open in a few weeks.

I noticed that too. I drive the opposite direction, and 275 east usually starts backing up between the Wlider and Taylor Mill exits. I get off at either KY 17 or Turkeyfoot and it's backed up as far as I can see.
