I can't imagine many areas worse than this one after being caught up in it at 10 this morning. Any idea of the backup from Culver's to the Mall Road, is this normal at lunch time? June 26, 20179 yr Any idea of the backup from Culver's to the Mall Road, is this normal at lunch time? No, not normal at all. Something had to be up, either a wreck, a crew working on something, or some sort of road construction -- but that isn't normal on a Friday at 6:00 PM (20 minutes from Mall Road to Culver's), let alone a Monday at 10:00 AM.

There was construction signs up,closer you got to Culver's. Needless to say, didn't enjoy my lunch(a first for Culver's) after multiple traffic delays and was just ready to start home. Have absolutely no patience and the traffic situations that people that live down there deal with daily just ruins my entire day, had a couple of drinks and took a nap after getting home Edited June 26, 20179 yr by All In

June 26, 20179 yr The "Serenity Prayer" is your friend!! :jump: Glad everyone else commute went fine. I think it is just me. Going to Reds game Thursday night and guarantee the route I take #27 to 471 to Levee exit will be a parking lot
June 26, 20179 yr Glad everyone else commute went fine. I think it is just me. Going to Reds game Thursday night and guarantee the route I take #27 to 471 to Levee exit will be a parking lot That route is typically not very congested during evening rush hour, but with the maintenance work on the bridge, it's hard to say how it'll be. I'd imagine it'll be smooth sailing.

June 26, 20179 yr 275 to Kellogg was backed up big time this morning with the right side lane stopped on the bridge. Maybe they could adjust the light on to Kellogg so that more than 7 cars can make it thru at a time for the next couple of months? There was never more than 3 cars waiting for the light the other way and you probably had close to 100 cars lined up on the bridge.

Just for kicks, what I'd really like is to see an actual press release from the KTD, or an actual news story that explains why the Erlanger exits are closed as part of the project. These exits are only 10 miles and five exits/interchanges away, after all. That would be some good summer reading material right there. Zero chance we see a good answer.
June 27, 20179 yr Monday's 4 pm drive home wasn't bad, I was rather pleased. I'm not counting on it staying that way, but I sure hope it does!
June 27, 20179 yr Monday's 4 pm drive home wasn't bad, I was rather pleased. I'm not counting on it staying that way, but I sure hope it does! I thought my 4:30 drive felt pretty normal as well. Two AMs and a PM trip and I'm hesitant to say that I over exaggerated its affect on my commute. Keeping my fingers crossed it stays like its been so far.

Keeping my fingers crossed it stays like its been so far. Same here. I'm taking a different route in the AM, but I still get to work the same time I did going 275 to 471. Yesterday's afternoon commute seemed very normal.
June 27, 20179 yr Erlanger exits are closed during the project to help with the flow of traffic. Due to the crappy design around those exits, there are daily backups during the afternoon rush hour. They need to redesign that whole interchange area. It's always a mess.
June 27, 20179 yr The alternative of Greenup St. in Covington was a little challenging around 7:40am. Traffic backed up to at least 12th St. with cars attempting to merge from side streets on both sides. I wasn't late today, but I may try to see if 15-30 minutes early will help tomorrow. I'm not very patient in traffic.
