July 19, 20179 yr Yesterday's AM commute was interesting. I have been traveling down Pike Street and usually hit turn right onto West 12th instead then down to Madison. On Monday, a car was parked in the right lane under the "No parking from 6am - 9am" sign. On Tuesday, as soon as I turned right on W12th, I noticed they had the road closed at the bottom of the hill. The cars in front of me turned left onto Hermes, at that point I knew it would be a difficult feat to turn right onto Pike Street due to the volume of cars at 645am. The cabbie in front of the line, turned down an alley way, and we proceeded to travel a few blocks to the bottom of the hill which eventually dropped us right onto Bullock street. Luckily noone was parked in the alley, it would have been disasterous.

Luckily noone was parked in the alley, it would have been disasterous. Wednesday mornings around 6:20, the garbage truck is on W 12th blocking the road. Got caught two Wednesdays in a row by that. Those guys are definitely not in the same hurry we are. I have seen people turn down that alley. Havent done it myself yet.
August 7, 20179 yr Has anyone seen if construction will be done on time. Originally they said 60 days and they closed it down on 06/23. 60 days is coming up. I did see they started phase 3 today but I have no idea how many phases there are.

It's insane that it backs up almost to the Wilder exit every day.

I did see they started phase 3 today but I have no idea how many phases there are. As of a few days ago, they were on schedule, and phase 3 was the last phase (or at least last phase with lane closures). Everything is projected to re-open 8/23. Only time will tell if they can stick to that.
August 8, 20179 yr Back roads are your friends, people! Learn them; live them. It depends on where you're coming from / going to, I guess. Back roads for my daily commute are actually worse, because the traffic is congested and the backroads are not capable of handling an increased workload.

August 8, 20179 yr Author I am ready to go back to a normal work schedule. Please get done on time. Yes! I’ve kept really odd hours this summer trying to deal with it, lol. I personally find the drive home worse, getting from downtown Cinti parking lots to the bridges. Then 471S/275W is pretty packed all the way to 7175. Usually try to leave work before 4pm or after 6pm to avoid it. Can’t wait til it’s over!!!!

Yeah there really is no way of winning leaving around 4 PM. I am on the 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM time frame and its killing me.
