Brent Spence Bridge Maintenance Project

Won't be soon enough. I'm so sick of the transition from 275E to 471N. It's insane that it backs up almost to the Wilder exit every day.

I live in Cold Spring and have to drive to Rookwood. Soon as I get on the highway it's just traffic til Ohio. Then Ohio is smooth sailing.

The bridge is open!!!

My morning commute is finally back to normal. It's taken me at minimum 50 minutes to get to work this week, and today is was back to 20 minutes. I'm glad to see the traffic off of 275.

Same here...trip through Latonia/Covington was very fast this morning!

Let's wait and see how the 275E to 471N interchange goes this afternoon before we get to excited. That's been insane the last few weeks.

Does this mean you all are finally done whining about it?

Only until they try to replace the whole bridge. Then the whining will be ten times louder.

We'll find something else to whine about...give us time, thank you.

A normal 15 minute drive home turning into 45-60 minutes just about everyday for the past 2 months gives us sufficient reason to whine. LOL

Well you were spoiled with a 15 minute commute to begin with, so suck it up. :lol2:

Right?! :lol2:. I will say that while I personally experienced very little inconvenience when our project was ongoing, the improvements since it's completion make me realize just how bad it was before we got the new bridges. By far, the most horrible experience was Shermageddon.

With the completion of this project yesterday my drive home was 14 minutes.....#yes!backtonormal

Got to drive north and south bound using Ft. Washington Way yesterday.

I had to chuckle when I saw they still have the truck detour signs up by Turfway road. So 275 interchange was backing up while we just cruised on by in the fast lane. :thumb:

So the next question is how long is this "bandaid" going to last???

That is Ohio fault. They are still working on I-71 North from the Tunnel to just past MLK.

Now the big question is why does it take Ohio so long to finish their road work?
