NCAA to release UofL report today

Featured Replies

But per the NCAA's own math, not a lot of money changed hands here.

$5800 total? That ain't squat. Josh Shelby got a semester off for receiving 6K right?

This is all Kevin Ware's fault.

Poor guy can't catch a break around here.

Yep. There are other elements to this that are really problematic, but the bankroll is not one of them.

Love me some Snottie!!!!

Dude I was just about to text you that too. Now it makes me even more angry we lost.

After reading just part of the NCAA report I think Duke would fire K and and UK would fire Cal. Teachers get arrested for having sex with students. McGee supplied sex for minors. Katina left out a lot of stuff in her book.

I think K would "retire" at this point in his career.

I think K would "retire" at this point in his career.

That's a good point. That's exactly how it would play out.

Some of what I had heard a couple weeks back.

- The panel that set the judgements was made up 6 participants (coaches I believe, not necessarily basketball, of member schools.

- 3 were already ready to deliver a severe blow in terms of penalties. Other 3 were not yet 'set'.

- Strong penalties were expected. Number of head coach suspended games was expected to be higher on outset.

- Expectation that appeal process would allow for some relief - so appeal was/is already in consideration.

The whole thing is still surreal in some ways. The question of 'did Pitino know or condone' should be obvious. He would not have let that go on in the hall named for his bother-in-law. Could he, should he have known? The ruling makes it clear what the official opinion was. And it seems logical that some level of oversight is and should be expected.

Somehow it seems like a conversation like this may have occurred - Pitino - "Andre, what are plans for the recruits?" McGee: "Yeah coach, just keeping them in Minarde tonight. They had a long day."

So with that would a red flag be raised?

But with McGee not helping the investigation it seems the air never cleared. While not a lot of money, there was money involved and the question of the source seems still out there.

Seriously? So he will cheat on his sister but a dorm named after him is sacred?

Does anyone think that UL may still fire Rick?

Jurich may have to fire him to save his own job.

Approximately how much money will UL have to pay back?

Does anyone think that UL may still fire Rick?

If they hadn't done it already, I don't see it happening.

So if the Communist NCAA orders ULs banners down bc it says NCAA champs, can the YUM Center hang banners saying 2013 college basketball champs minus the NCAA on it? Id tell the NCAA to pound salt. The games have been played. Do the players have to get their memories erased and turn in their rings and other awards?

I don't find pleasure in UL fans pain.

However, I do think the tweets of UL fans in 2012 saying how UK's championship is going to be vacated because of Calipari, is a little funny.

When the NCAA forces a school to vacate a Final Four appearance, or potentially in this case a Championship, does the school have to give back the money?
