I know most will probably disagree with me on here, but IMO the biggest mistake Tiger ever made was getting married. Dude should've just lived up the single life.

Agree 110%, he was at his best when he was sleeping around, hitting the strip clubs,etc.. His downfall can be traced almost to the day he got married or when news broke about the women he had slept with,etc. and he was made to fill guilty for that in the media

He should've followed the Derek Jeter model. Jeter is like a folk hero for all of the 10's he pulled and Tiger would have gotten the same treatment had he not been married.

When he dumped on Fuzzy, and basically ended his career and endorsements, I was done with him. He could have taken the high road, but instead made a huge deal out of it. Showed his true colors. It's you guys right to like him. It's also my right not to. I can't stand him.

I don't remember Tiger dumping on Fuzzy. What Fuzzy said was pretty tasteless. Fuzzy admitted so himself, apologized and Tiger accepted. Tiger pretty much issued a one page statement and moved on.

Tiger didn't pull Fuzzy's endorsements. If you make tasteless, racist jokes in public, you can pretty much expect some blowback.

You're going to have to refresh my memory, because the only thing I can think of when you mention Tiger and Fuzzy in the same sentence is back when Tiger won his first Masters and Fuzzy spouted something stupid off about having fried chicken and collard greens at next year's champions dinner. Is this what you're referring to?

I agree with rjs on this. A lot of people wanted Tiger to make a big issue out of Fuzzy's statement but he refrained and even publicly made nice with him. Fuzzy shot himself in the foot...not Tiger.

I just heard this at lunch, and it may have already been mentioned here as I haven't gone through the whole thread. Now, I am no fan of Tiger, but, to be fair, the news is reporting that he blew a 0.00 on the breathalyzer (so he wasn't drunk) and he stated that he had been taking as many as 3 different prescriptions meds (which is documented and prescribed to him) and he may have had a bad reaction to the meds. If that's the case, he's still impaired...I mean evidently the found him asleep at the wheel of his car in the street...but it's possible he took a combination and something that put him out and he didn't know it would happen. It's possible. I will give him a little benefit of the doubt right now...had he been in a drunken stupor, that would be different.

With all that I said...with all his money why doesn't he have a personal driver at his beck and call...pay the guy $100 grand a year just to drive him. This kind of thing wouldn't happen.

The affidavit also states that there were no odors coming from Woods or the car, this also despite earlier reports claiming that Woods' breath smelled like liquor according to one officer on the scene.

He was asked to perform a Walk & Turn first according to the affidavit, but 'could not maintain starting position,' 'missed heel to toe each time,''stepped off line several times' and 'used arms for balance.'

Woods also 'stopped walking to steady self' at one point notes the report.

 

He next was asked to perform a One Leg Stand, and was unable to raise his leg off the ground six inches, placing his foot down 'several times' while he tried to complete the test.

 

The Finger To Nose seemed to confuse Woods, who despite having the instructions explained to him multiple times and claiming he understood what was being asked of him failed to complete the task as ordered according to the report.

Woods also did not complete the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus as he 'did not follow the stimulus.'

 

The fifth test went much better however for Woods, who completed the Romberg Alphabet by reciting the national anthem backwards, though the report noted he did need the task explained to him 'several times.'

 

In total, six members of law enforcement were involved in the arrest, five of whom were on the scene of the incident at some point on Monday.

It was shortly after 4am, a little less than two hours after the arrest, that Woods was observed by one of the officers on the scene for 20 minutes prior to submitting to a breathalyzer.

The affidavit notes that Woods' speech was 'slow, sluggish, very slurred' and his attitude was described as 'sluggish, sleepy, unable to walk alone.'

Woods was 'cooperative as much as possible' but 'very droopy, extremely sleepy' and had trouble keeping his eyes open.

Of course he was asleep with the car running and apparently with the car in gear and his foot on the brake. While I guess it's not out of the realm of possibility that he had never taken that combination of pills before and had no idea how it would affect him, I struggle with believing that. Still, to me he sounds like a guy that's in a lot of pain right now, and that in itself is likely enough to affect his judgement.

Fuzzy is a friend of mine. Woods could have helped Fuzzy after he apologized but chose not to. Fuzzy's career was basically over after that. Now I hope Woods career is over. I'll leave it at that. My last post in this thread.
