May 29, 20179 yr Just saw an article that claimed Woods' back was "pain free". "It was instant nerve relief,'' Woods wrote. "I haven't felt this good in years.''. Now I know why. Does anybody know if the DUI was pills or alcohol? Not that it really matters when you're behind the wheel. It's rather a shame to watch this tremendous talent go downhill. We'll know once the police report becomes available in the next couple days.
May 29, 20179 yr Jim Nantz can't go more than 30 minutes on a golf telecast without mentioning Woods. And, there are millions of people who don't give a flip about him.
May 29, 20179 yr I'll never understand why people who can afford a driver don't utilize one when needed. Because when you are hammered drunk or even buzzing your judgement is way off. I agree he should have people, around him,all the t8me.
May 29, 20179 yr Drinking makes you think you can do things you shouldn't do, like driving, adultry, etc. Only difference in this and someone who gets caught everyday is his high profile name.
May 29, 20179 yr My nonexistent imaginary business would have push notifications that told them how close I was to their area, along with pictures of them in their athletic glory and/or pics of their loved ones. Can I be your business partner?
May 30, 20179 yr Wood's statement says alcohol was not involved and it was an unexpected reaction to prescribed drugs.

And there are millions more that do give a flip. Nantz mentioning Tiger Woods, who's won more tournaments and majors than almost every golfer who's ever lived, a few times on Saturday and Sunday isn't exactly shoving Tiger down people's throats.

May 30, 20179 yr When you are a superstar you are eccentric. When you are washed up, you become a weirdo.
May 30, 20179 yr I think he started becoming less disciplined with his life, and golf game, after his dad died. His old man was military strict and kept Tiger on a focused path.
May 30, 20179 yr Did his downfall start when his wife beat him with golf club? His downfall started before that. She just gave him his first taste of "just desserts.."
May 30, 20179 yr I think he started becoming less disciplined with his life, and golf game, after his dad died. His old man was military strict and kept Tiger on a focused path. Tiger was still the best in the world for 7 years after his dad died. He was player of the year and leading money winner 3x in the span. I agree his dad was a major influence in his life, and his death may have affected him, but I really don't think his dad dying was his undoing. To me it's really simple. Injuries and age. Woods was always a workout fiend and was a real athlete. He was a physical specimen and this is what separates him from other golfers. The Knee and back injuries changed all that. Plus other players started following his script, so the one advantage Tiger had was gone. Suddenly he was just another dude out there and he's never been able to overcome the injuries or adapt his style and game to his new physical limitations. I thinks it's these struggles that have played the biggest role in his mental downfall, much more so than his dad dying. 4 back surgeries, a couple knee surgeries...it's no surprise Tigers game and mind are in shambles at this point. Pain is a tough thing for many people to deal with, especially when it robs you of your livelihood like it's done to Tiger.
