March 29, 20179 yr Saw on Twitter that the Cats are starting to look into 6'2" G Jemari Baker from California. He's the #73 ranked player by 247sports and was committed to Cal before the coaching change. He's since decommitted. And he's also heaving recruiting Mamba and Knox as well correct? They have 6 commits already, 3 seniors, and more than likely 3 gone to NBA with Fox, Bam and Monk. Let's say Briscoe is also gone, and 2 of the three of Humphries, SKJ or Wynard leaves. That leaves 9 open scholarships, meaning he could sign all 3 correct?

Why are you so certain/hellbent on Humphries, Jones or Wynard transferring? :lol2:
March 29, 20179 yr Why are you so certain/hellbent on Humphries, Jones or Wynard transferring? :lol2: I'm not, I'm just trying to figure out how he is going to sign all of these guys.
March 29, 20179 yr SKJ Wynard Humphries Gabriel Alexander Green Vanderbilt Diallo Washington Richards That's 10....They could sign Bamba, Knox, and one of the Smith/Baker guys with no issues.

Thanks. So basically they were playing with only 11 scholarship players until they signed Diallo mid season.
March 29, 20179 yr I am probably more of a fan of Briscoe than most on here, but I don't think he has much of a shot at all in the league. Even if he develops his jump shot more. Gravity is as much a problem for him as his jump shot.
March 29, 20179 yr Gravity is as much a problem for him as his jump shot. Definitely agree. Strong as ever but he just isn't athletic enough in that regard.
March 29, 20179 yr Is Diallo not as good of a shooter as Briscoe? If Briscoe returns I see him playing the 3 spot like he did majority of the season. I'd like for him to be Cal's first four year All American and if he works on his jump shot more he could potentially be a bigger version of Frank Mason III. Briscoe is kinda like the Harrison twins to me, great fit for the college game, but not so good in the NBA. Wish the twins would've been 4 year players as well.

March 29, 20179 yr Diallo is a very good shooter. He's not quite as good of a shooter as Monk, but he's bigger than Monk and equally as athletic.
March 29, 20179 yr Diallo is a very good shooter. He's not quite as good of a shooter as Monk, but he's bigger than Monk and equally as athletic. Decent spot up shooter, but I doubt he hits over 35% next year. Much more of an athletic slasher with a solid mid range game. Calling him a very good shooter is a huge reach...
March 29, 20179 yr Frank Mason III was one of the best shooters in the country. Also pretty darn athletic. Briscoe will never be another Mason III. Briscoe is a very solid player, and can definitely improve, but you guys are WAY overselling his ceiling.
