You do know 40 years ago the scientists were worried about global cooling, right? Also, the world temperatures are constantly changing. No doubt about that. What if the current temperature is IMPROVED by getting warmer? What is to say the current temp is better than a little warmer...or cooler?

 

I find it interesting that the "climate change" crowd assumes that the temperatures RIGHT NOW are the ideal temps and any change in them will be catastrophic.

We're in a warming trend. The jury is still out on how long and for what reason.

A record that goes back only little over 100 years. The earth has been much warmer than it is now in the past. And obviously it has been much colder overall as well.

 

The current tempratures are far from unique when pre-record time is used.

 

And no one at any level I know 'denies' the change activity is present. Of course global warming exist. And of course, global cooling exist. One thing is definetly certain - accurate models from the main climate organization that tie CO2 and temperature do not exist.

You can post it as many times as you want and you have about a 50 percent chance of being right. Recent sunspot activity and global temperatures suggest that we may be entering a prolonged period of global cooling. The cycles of the sun and its heat output is not an insignificant factor in climate change.

Can't imagine how bad this snow outside would be right now if it weren't for global warming.

It always has, it always will. What I want to know is what does the left think they can actually do to change what happens naturally?

Global warming exists as does global cooling. It is nature. The problem is the cause has become political and a lot of politicians have become extremely rich selling a cause that cannot be proven to be true. It is the great business model because because none of the beneficiaries will be alive to be proven right or wrong.

A lot of global warming enthusiasts have a financial stake in something that benefits from the narrative. Al Gore is the perfect example. You would think a person so "worried" about the environment wouldn't be so careless. This article is a little dated, but Al Gore's narrative was not new in 2007 when it was written.
