February 13, 20179 yr Once there agreement that the IPCC CO2 models are invalid then maybe useful discussion can restart. The CO2-as-primary-driver models had their chance. Its been 30 years. Every bit of CO2 predicted is in the air and then some. The doomsday models are a complete bust and even the most conservative models from the IPCC are off - way off. They missed it. But admitting means giving up on the carbon-economy. And many have vested interest in the carbon credits, carbon taxes, carbon exchanges, etc.
February 13, 20179 yr Yes, and then I might be swayed to buy what some are trying to sell......until then it's all a bunch of horse:poop: We are over half way to your 30 year barometer.
February 13, 20179 yr I believe in an all powerful, all knowing GOD. If the earth is slightly warmer then there is more plants to provide O2 to keep up with the population explosion and the additional co2. Longer growing seasons to provide food for the additional people. Life thrives in warmer climates. What some see as the end I see as balance by one who we can never begin to understand. Should we be better care takers, yes. Do any of us think we know better, have more insight of the future, can control more than God? I fear not. His plans are perfect and just. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see half of california and the east coast become manmade reefs anyway. Spread those fools out. Some of those east coast people want to know your address so they can send you some shoes and a load of coal for your pot belly stove. That's how they look at people from KY isn't it? I mean, if we are going to go all stereotypical on geography, let's go all the way.
February 13, 20179 yr Some of those east coasters like myself, have already spread out. Thanks though for the kind thoughts and wishes for my hometown to end up underwater, and being so kind as to label us folks as fools simply based on where we live or are from. Taking offense to a general statement how liberal of you. Can't have a thought or opinion withought one of you guys crying about it. Oh well. Invest in scuba gear if you want to go home. I'm suppose to except your flawed science and your cause at face value. Some of your thought offend my ears, the difference is I dont whine about it. I can have a healthy, hard full, honest discussion without playing the victim card. Some of you guys are way too soft for me. Kind of irratating. Edited February 13, 20179 yr by Fear the Nation

Sure you can have thoughts and opinions. However, when you want to generalize, stereotype and insult people, expect to be called out. Again, no problems at all with your opinion. But why throw in the insult?? And yes, if a "general statement" is insulting and mean spirited, I'm going to take offense, especially if I'm in the target group. And if the "general statement" wasn't meant to offend or something you truly believe in what was the purpose of the statement?? It' simply not funny when you wish bad things to happen to people. You don't want people to call you out or respond negatively to your "general statements", then stop being so mean spirited. It's completely possible to get your point across without taking potshots. February 13, 20179 yr Might kill off the booming rat population in NYC. :lol2:

I'll respond again since you edited and added to your previous post. You don't have to accept my "science" or "cause" especially since I haven't pushed it on you, or even declared where I stood (if I did, please feel free to point out where I did push my science and cause on you). Which makes it even sillier for you to keep making things personal. For what it's worth, I'm somewhere in the middle of the whole argument. I think we do have an effect on climate, but I'm not sure to what extent. But I do believe we should strive to do everything we can to mitigate our effects and be good stewards for our planet. Again, my response wasn't to highlight my disagreeing with your stance...my issue was the unnecessary potshot you took at folks like me who are from the east coast (or west coast), calling everyone fools and not caring if those places get destroyed by catastrophic flooding. Again, when someone wishes ill will to me, I'm going to respond. That doesn't make me "soft"....it just means I'll stand up for myself if someone comes at me. Again, opinions are fine. Being mean spirited and making things personal are not.

Being mean spirited and making things personal are not. Never called you out or personally or by name, you felt the need to include your self in the group of people I called fools. I believe a large portion of liberal city dwellers are fools. I'm not mean spirited, just not going to wear kid gloves when speaking to other adults. How you feel about what I said and your need to be included in something I didn't say directly to you is your issue. I would love to see liberal areas scattered. That kind of thought process in such a concentrated area is dangerous. Most cities are liberal, failing, dangerous and oblivious as to why. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that. Back to global warming, I will never believe the data of left wing scientist who have shown and been proven to have a political agenda to the point that they will taint, construct, and misinform the public for their purpose. If it was as they say they wouldn't have to stoop to such tactics to get their point across. Taxing people won't fix a thing except redistribute wealth. Where have we heard that one before?

Take a wide-eyed look at the long storied history of the struggling plight of ridiculed forward thinking environmentalists whose vision that everyone today greatly benefits from, and the distorted-truth resistance that they were traditionally met with by large cooperations who aimed to mislead the public for the sake of their own profits. Are you willing to acknowledge that they weren't the nutjobs that they had long been painted out to be, and that it indeed was the full-of-themselves know-it-all shallow doubters who stood to interfere with progress? Are you sure that you're not a product of the misguided thinking that has long aimed to discredit the ones who were actually accurately trying to correctly inform our culture of imminent danger? If not, you sure sound like it.

If not, you sure sound like it. Then why play with the data? Why delete what doesn't help the arguement but keep what does. Why fire anyone with a discenting opinion? Why tax? 15 years ago it was global cooling, now its global warming. I've said it a million times here is one million and one. Should we be better caretakers of our planet......YES....! Do I believe that we are the direct affect of climate change. No. Because the left has shown that they will manipulate anything that they want if its on their agenda. I dont trust anything coming out of that camp. When we get term long term data, from impartial sources that supports the theory we can revisit it. The political agenda has corrupted the science and therefore cannot be trusted. Never believe in anything Al Gore is a champion of. The trust issue is one the left created. I'm willing to look at any impartial data that proves that man is heating the entire planet, not states or reagions, the whole planet. It's nice in NKY while the east coast gets a blizzard and 4 feet of snow. Guess they didn't get the global warming memo.
February 13, 20179 yr It was not too long ago that Climate Scientists declared that the drought in California was likely a permanent situation caused by man made global warming. Today, due to rainfall and snow melt, only 11% of California counties are in "severe" drought conditions. Statewide, reservoirs are at 176% of long term average capacity and the largest dam in the state is about to burst due to over capacity.
February 13, 20179 yr I lean more to the global warming is real side, but im not one hundred percent convinced. That being said how many summers in a row have to be the hottest on record before we except global warming as fact?
