I don't know perhaps the obvious spin of the article, and it's particular wording.

Wow man, you can do better...or can you?

I'm not a scientist, I have access to the same data from both sides just like you do. The speaker was quoted word for word, spin or no spin. They finally told the truth.

I guess you read it how you want to read it, but where within her "word for word" quote was she speaking of global warming?

The setup sentence by the author of the article says:

Figueres admitted that the Global Warming conspiracy set by the U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, of which she is the executive secretary, has a goal not of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity, but to destroy capitalism.

Then she is quoted as saying:

This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution.”

She even restated that goal ensuring it was not a mistake:

“This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.”

The very set up sentence is a spin with the quoted material not supporting the supposed accusation.

I feel like I'm on a tabloid site when different folks offer crap as if it were mic dropping commentary.

Because socialism will save the planet?

Because socialism will save the planet?

I made no commentary regarding what she is quoted as saying, I'm just saying that it proves nothing of what you seem to think that it proves, and the article is obviously slanted.

Well what do you think the economic model is from her words? Serious question.

You presented as if it was mic dropping proof of anything when it was only click bait, and now you're gonna peddle away from that obvious nonsense and invite me down your rabbit hole?

Not about to defend the words of a woman who I don't even know who supposedly said them in reference to global warming, which nothing indicates that she really did.

The author drew the line to socialism in his spin factory, you bought it and posted it here as gold, and now that it obviously isn't, I'm to entertain you in a discussion that evolves from a foundation of bias?

:lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

That's alright, someone else is likely to approach your cage before long, perhaps they'll play along.

Peddling, please, I was asking your interpretation. I think shes a socialist who hates capitalism and is using a unverified hoax to commandeer a whole lot of other people's money. For the record there are numerous accounts of what she said. So it must all be click bait. The UN is a great trusted organization. Why would we ever doubt them?

What we do know is that Tyler Durden was persuasive enough for you to think so, but let's just ignore the conclusion that he is drawing and how he is presenting it.

We're all gullible yet you can't see slanted tabloidal writing when it's right in front of you?

What about the ten or so other articles coming up with pretty much the same conclusion?

I have changed my mind on Global Warming, it's not the biggest threat to America. It's second to Liberals and the Democratic Party.

The Dems will destroy America before Global Warming.

In honor of today's record high I'm bringing this one back to the top.

Remember in 2007 Chicken Little, errrr Al Gore said the polar ice caps would be gone by now.

I'll be cutting grass in February for the first time ever.:lol2:

At least it's still high on your list!

I call bull hockey.

I'll be cutting grass in February for the first time ever.:lol2:

GGCLFAN motto: It is better to cut grass in February than to shovel snow in February...actually you can say that about any month...
