January 6, 20179 yr Second question. If we do pay for the wall up front with the idea that Mexico will pay it back. How would the latter take place? I have no idea. In all honesty unless there is some kind of tax on Mexico they are not gonna pay for it. Im guessing we will all pay for it.

January 6, 20179 yr So, to the original thread. It says that Trump plans to ask Congress for funds to build the wall starting in April. Would this be fulfilling his promise that Mexico would pay for the wall? That would be a negative ghost rider.

I never once thought Mexico would just out right pay for the wall. Trump probably laughs every time he hears someone now bring it up, just like I do. Now he may figure out a way to make them pay without them just shelling out the cash. One think I will give Trump, I have learned not to bet against him.

The claim that Mexico would pay for it was downright comical--right up there with Obama's "deficits are unpatriotic" assertion. I think Trump will be just like every other President when it comes to things like this (promising one thing and doing another).
