The POTUS and the Emolument Clause

If anyone was actually pressured, who ever did it needs to be fired.

That said I don't believe it for a minute.

I can see people rescheduling events to Trump properties "hoping" to curry favor. I'll bet Trump Ties are already sold out in DC :lol2:

"Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter."

- Thomas Jefferson

He never read the editorial page of the NY Times then...:lol2::lol2:

Newspapers today are tame compared to those back in the day.

You may be right but I wouldn't 100% believe or less than a minute anything DJT says or his folks say.

Newspapers today are tame compared to those back in the day.

Most of us weren't alive to read them then so that's why your so valuable to the site.

Trump may not be able to stay out his own way on these things.

Where have I heard this before?

Extraordinarily so

I knew this would bite the clintons.

Kuwait and Bahrain must still be under the assumption that you have to buy political influence after years of giving millions to the Clinton foundation for favors

Hmmmm.....

and then this, ba=lame the Clintons, like DJT doesn't know how to extract favors. It is getting laughable. He can do the same thing but he is right they were wrong. At least be consistent.

You misunderstand. He will fight every accusation tooth and nail through tweets and lawsuits forgetting his job is to run this country.

I also don't believe for a second that he will instruct his businesses to stand down from these practices.

Typical..... it seems that some are always extracting parts to try and legitimize their story line. At what point did I say it was ok for anyone?

No I understood. Just calling your attention to how you declared him dead in the water many many times during the campaign. You are quick to forget this is not a typical time in politics. And it will get crazier I think.

Paid subscriptions are up big time. He might save the industry. :lol2:

On a serious note, we need investigative journalism now more than ever. I'm glad to see people are paying for it with what's at stake.

I bet I read the same article you read saying this same thing. :lol2:

I agree totally and the article made sense. With so much fake news out there folks are heading back to the real news with real investigative journalists. The folks who care deeply about their craft and work hard to print the truth.
