Daisy BB Gun when I was about 8 or 9. Carried that thing with me everywhere I went for 2 or 3 years. I was a deadeye dick with that old gun, even after the spring started failing and the BB's shot like rainbows. I still have it.

 

I loved my big wheel and the Evel Knieval motorcycle, but the Ole' Trusty Daisy was my fave.

Same. BigWheel. Not even a close second. I power braked the plastic wheels off that motherscratcher.

 

Oh I rode mine until all four wheels had holes in them.

I got a boombox with the three-disk changer and Nelly's "Country Grammar" when I was 10. Had to replace the boombox after we moved in with my step-dad, and still have the replacement, but I never lost that CD. It doesn't work anymore, but it's still in my collection.

I think I was 9 or 10, it was a ranch style house exactly like Beaver Cleaver's. And it came with a lot of 50's style furniture. Probably fell victim to my 4 brothers.

And I don't think it's even close...I loved these and I played the heck out of them. I'd set up ramps using folded Monopoly Boards and jump everything I could find. When the weather got warm I tried to jump from my elevated yard and sidewalk across the street. Stunt Bike didn't survive that, but the chopper did. I guess when I went to college mom tossed them or put them in a yard sale, but these were so awesome I'm tempted to get another one. I'll guarantee that if I'm ever blessed to have a grandchild this is on the top of the list of things from grandpa.

These may not be as exciting as race tracks and game systems, but I loved them.

What Christmas gift do you remember getting as a child (12 or younger) that was your favorite? How did you get it? What ever happened to it?

 

I remember getting a portable radio as a 10 year old that got AM-FM and audio from TV stations and had a Weather and Police band. It could pick up baseball games in the Summer from St. Louis, Philly, Chicago, Cleveland easily. Could pick up re-broadcast of the Iowa football games on Saturday nights at Midnight for all the farmers that were out working in the fields on a Saturday afternoon. And Iowa was terrible back then. It lasted forever (about 40 years) before it finally gave out.

 

On the right nights we could pick up KSTT out of Davenport and listen to Hawkeye games. Momma grew up on a pig farm in Dixon.

The year I got the 12-inch figurines (NOT DOLLS!!!) of Col. Steve Austin and his rival, Maskatron, who had the replaceable face to disguise him as Oscar Goldman. I was heartbroken when I left one of the cool Maskatron arm attachments at my aunt's house in Iowa and had to do without it for about a year before we got up there next year and I could retrieve it. Of course, by that point I was totally over the 6 Million Dollar Man.
