Wow!! I spoke highly of Mayfield all year and CAL proved that there is no such thing as unbeatable. CAL by 4 TD's over Danville because Danville can't bring their officials.

I called this game. I knew with that D line that they would give Mayfield fits. Paulson is a monster, and was in the backfield all night. Traveling 3 plus hours is a tough task. I'm really excited for our team next year. We were really young this year. We'll definitely have the horses to contend next year. Good luck CAL. Keep the title in the west.

Wow. I saw this in person and still can't believe it. I thought that CAL was capable of winning this game, but I don't think even the Centurion mascot thought this could happen. MAN they are tough in the trenches......

Incredible job by CAL. I never would have thought they would score 48 on Mayfield.

 

To the Cardinals - one of the greatest championship runs in Kentucky history was stopped tonight. A lot to be proud of for all the accomplishments over the past five or six years.

Congrats to Cal. Wright was as advertised. Beast on the field.

 

As for mayfield. Nothing to hang low about. All good, great, historic things must come to an end eventually. We had a great run. Time to start a new streak.

Congrats to Mayfield, what a ride. Something like this very rarely happens. Great ride I've had with this Senior bunch, from 4th grade till now. I will never forget you.

Congrats CAL. Great game, especially the 2nd half. Mayfield was up 24-17 at the half and got outscored 31-0 in the 2nd half. Paulson was a man among boys on the DL as Mayfield couldn't keep him out of the backfield. He was constantly knocking Arnetts throws down or just making him move out the pocket and uncomfortable. Wright had a couple of big picks and really, it was won in the trenches. Too much size on the CAL side and it's what eventually made the difference. Congrats to the Cards on yet another great season. I hate to see the 7 year state run come to an end but you knew it eventually had to. Good luck Centurians next week in BGreen.

 

When CAL played SK early this season I was impressed by how much size they had up front for a small school. SK just wore them out with numbers really.
