Houston 36 Louisville 10

Louisville still has a remote chance at the ACC title right? Need a Clemson loss?

Yeah. If Wake beats Clemson, Louisville goes to the ACC title game.

I'm not holding my breath, especially with the way Wake's assistants are just leaving their playbooks lying around...

16 penalties, 11 sacks, 3 lost fumbles. That will never get the job done.

Houston is not well coached. Yeah, I said the unthinkable. I know folks like him. Up big to start the 4th. Kids are running out of bounds, and not letting the clock run down each play prior to the snap. Not smart football.

As I pointed out in the update thread, they tried to slow it down in the 3rd quarter and got three 3 and outs. Houston's offense if predicated on that up tempo pace. When they went back to it in the 4th quarter, they actually held on to the ball longer and was able to put up some points.

I tried telling buddies of mine at the beginning of the season Louisville wasn't beating Houston at Houston. Didnt think it'd be a blow out though.

Watching Petrino coach the last couple weeks makes me think of Bob Huggins. Gets good players, coaches his system well, then spends the whole ball game focused on yelling at refs instead of coaching his team and making adjustments.

I was worried about tonight's game but I didn't expect the Cards to lay this much of an egg. How Houston lost to SMU is mind blowing to me. I figured it would be close, but both teams had other plans.

Even with Houston's losses that they have, it will be interesting to see what happens with them after the regular season is done if Oklahoma ends up winning their conference.

There's about 5 million local Ohio St. homers who hate you right now for saying that. But your PM box already told you that.

Cougars are better than most thought, including me.

Hmmm. I'd heard that, but not from anyone I knew.

Herman is doing something right. Beat a 10-1 Florida St. team 38-24 in the Peach Bowl. Now has beaten Oklahoma 33-23 and Louisville 36-10 this season.

I guess Bobby Petrino wasn't able to steal Houston's plays before the game

Too Soon? lol, sorry

The SOS kind of hurt the Cards a lot this year. Houston was always going to be a problem this season but the way the Cards handled bad teams this year many seemed to overlook a decent unranked team. I really do think the Cards would beat Clemson if played again but I think that has more to do with matchups than how good the teams are.

Great season Cards, you just need to build on this season and come out next year on fire and on a mission. I don't know what your schedule looks like next year but I hope you improve your non conference games, if not then you will be in the same situation if the other big teams in College Football get to this point in the season with 0 or 1 loss.

This is a perfect example of why there's no need to go to 8 teams in the playoff.

Everything works itself out by season's end.

Not sure how you come back from this. This will carry over till 2017.

That is a great point... That team is made to go go go.. When they went back to it in 4th they certainly looked a lot more comfortable.. They looked confused as heck in 3rd when they were actually trying to slow it down....
