Colorado and Washington who USC already beat, Wisconsin who doesn't have an offense, Oklahoma who doesn't have a defense, and Louisville who looks shaky after last night.

It's ridiculous to think Bama would be concerned in the slightest about bashing in the Trojans skulls again.

 

For good measure, I'll throw Auburn, LSU, and A&M in ahead of USC too.

Well I lost that one big time. That was the worest O-line play I've ever seen by a D1 school.. Jumping off sides falling down backwards before the ball snap. Jackson never had a fair chance in this one.. Dont like to this critical of my cards but how about using a TE or back for sometype of max proctection. Use the back to slide protect or anything would have been better that watching Jackson run for his life.

Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson? Who else would you put ahead of them as far as teams that you wouldn't want to play before USC. They have 2 top 10 wins and just stomped Washington on the road. Not saying they should be ranked any higher than where they are, but they're dangerous.

If I'm Bama my list of teams of I wouldn't want to play is as follows:

Because basketball is an infinitely more exciting, less boring sport than football. Has nothing to do with the tournament, who wins or loses, etc. I could literally watch any college basketball game and be thoroughly more entertained than I will be by any college football game.

 

Please consider what I'm about to say comes with a ton of respect for you as a BGP member...but, if that's your view on college football, then I could really care less about what you think as far as the college football playoff system. You're really no different than my wife, who could really care less about who wins, who loses, who's in or who's out. So, whether it's two teams, four teams, eight teams, twelve teams or even sixteen teams...your point is the same...it doesn't matter.

 

There are many others, however, that don't share that opinion. Many, who hated that some poll used to determine who the best two teams were in the country and they were the only ones allowed to compete for a national championship. The comment about how things always work themselves out is fine, until it doesn't. Same way the gorilla exhibit precautions at the Cincinnati Zoo were fine, until they weren't.

 

The people advocating changes are simply trying to get ahead of the game for when the situation arises...and it will arise...that someone will have a legitimate claim to playing for a national championship, and be left out.

The problem is it never ends. When it was 2 we needed 4, now it's 4 and we need 8. As soon as it's 8 there will be arguments over the 9 and 10 team getting left out and people will be screaming for 16.

I've even said on here before to take my opinion on the playoff and 4, 8, 16 teams with a grain of salt because my interest in the sport is not nearly as vested as many.

I honestly don't think they'd care. They know, regardless of who they line up against, if they execute like they should, ain't no one hanging with them.

Just because I say Alabama wouldn't want to play USC doesn't mean Alabama thinks they will lose to USC team, but given the choice they would choose a lot of different teams before they would choose to play USC again.
