I remember watching Matt Leinart early in the season say the reason he was not buying the Cards was because of how often they turn over the football. Your high level teams, especially those with a smaller margin of error, just don't do it.

The only big job opening that would consider Petrino is LSU. Texas has their guy in Herman and I don't see the boosters getting behind a guy like Petrino. ND wouldn't touch him with 39 and a 1/2 foot pole. I don't think UofL fans have anything to worry about with Petrino.

As a ND fan that makes me sad, but after Arkansas they wouldn't even consider him.

It's been a long time since I saw a defensive line dominate an offensive line like that. It is probably good they don't have to face Bama because Jackson may have been killed by the Bama front 7...

I like 8 because it opens the door for a team like USC this year to sneak in there. Nobody wants any part of USC right now, not even Bama.

A big reason for that is because Petrino and the offensive coaches adapted for one series in the whole game to what was happening on the field and they scored a touchdown on that drive. Then they immediately forgot everything they did in that drive that worked for them. I am not sure who was worse last night - the offensive line or the UL coaching staff.

Who are these 8 teams that legit deserve a shot this season? By expanding the playoff, you're rendering the regular season less and less important.

Because basketball is an infinitely more exciting, less boring sport than football. Has nothing to do with the tournament, who wins or loses, etc. I could literally watch any college basketball game and be thoroughly more entertained than I will be by any college football game.

I think exactly the opposite. But I'm a college football junkie. I even find Tuesday night MACtion entertaining. Haha

Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson? Who else would you put ahead of them as far as teams that you wouldn't want to play before USC. They have 2 top 10 wins and just stomped Washington on the road. Not saying they should be ranked any higher than where they are, but they're dangerous.
