My daughters tribe, the Gumuz, were the slave tribe in Ethiopia. Reason, they are very dark skinned.

 

It's not only some whites that have held they are superior due to skin color.

 

It makes me very sad they were looked down upon by their own countrymen due to the color of their skin. Just goes to show you the USA is not the only country with a history of racism. This was black on black racism.

I'm guessing it's everyone but blacks and if so aren't those minorities who are a lot of times here illegal.

 

He's not talking about illegal immigrants. Only you are talking about illegal immigrants and they have absolutely nothing to do with this discussion or Kap's protest.

My thing here is, when blacks talk about oppression for "people of color", does that only mean blacks? Or are they including all other skin tones not white? I don't hear brutality cries from Asians, Indians, Latinos, South Americans. So does that mean police are truly only brutalizing blacks or could it be gasp blacks commit the highest amount of crimes and gasp are the ones more likely to resist arrest? When's the last time an Asian was gunned down by a police officer? I know a Korean LEO was gunned down by a black male in Cincy and the Koreans weren't looting and burning down their own neighborhood. To many years of politicians being made to feel guilty for slavery. It may ruin your day but it's better than your life. Cop arrests you and you know you've done nothing wrong, go through the process and live to fight another day.

Also a serious question. When segregation was a real thing, did it only apply to the black population? Obviously the vast majority of Native Americans were in the western 2/3s of the country. Always have wondered that.

To me , maybe just me , but stating the players have the right to protest , and then actually joining them in refusing to stand for the anthem is two different things ...
