Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Russell has a very good team but why don't we play the games first before we close any conversations.

Ashland will be plenty for us to worry about this week...I just hope that the players' heads aren't as big as some of our faithful on here...If they are, we may be in trouble...Russell should win but don't expect it to be easy...

Let me mess with with FBALL, he takes it really well and he is fun to watch at times,,,,come on admit it.... he is fun to watch... I just think that they (Russell) can go undefeated and do what I said. Look at every first week game with Greenup, usually it is a close game every year or can be close without some errors. You have to admit- for the first of our schedule- Russell looked more impressive TOTALLY AS A TEAM, as compared to last year, or 2 years ago. TRUE ???? I just believe they dwell on the ONE loss last year and have the fire to NOT let it happen this year.

I guarantee he bleeds Orange & (Black).and we are glad that he does. He has to have a little maroon tint though, it just wouldn't be right if he did not.

The key to this game will be focus. Is Russell better on paper? Probably so. Is this a pretty intense rivalry game? Most definately. Does the better team always win a rivalry? Not always, that's why we play the games. Ian had a really good game last year at Russell to keep Ashland in the game and almost got the upset. Somebody better step up for Ashland this week to do the same. If not, I could see Russell winning by 2 or 3 TD's.

This year is tough with Vic Anderson and I think the kid from Male is Beaumont, not sure. Both are of course from Louisville, but both are probably as good as Clark if not better. I have seen Clark play and he is as fun to watch as anyone.

Does the players in 4A usually win Mr. Football? Russell has a decent schedule but not a really hard one. This may hurt Clark when it all comes down to it. I enjoy watching this kid and hope him the best but in my opionon there has to be better football players out there.

My bad Ms. Basketball. I think she could have played for some mens teams. I don't think class matters. Ft Campbell was 2A? Hopkinsville 3A? I think that maybe only 3 of the last 15 came from 4A schools. Brohm, Bush, & Alexander.

FBALL- if you would have gotten ahead of the runners at your pulling guard postion you would have seen the green grass ahead of ya...... its called the FUTURE OF RUSSELLL FOOTBALL..(could not help the pulling guard comment, fit so well)

I heard someone say the pulling gaurd in they Wing T is one of the best athletes on the field. Guess I proved that one wrong. But if the runner gets to far ahead of his lead blocker he will miss the hole. I don't want to see these Devils miss the hole. Lets take it one game at a time.

With as much crap that is on here about this football game already, you will have to drain the west side of the stadium with a backhoe or hook a pump truck to the drainage system.

Russell WINS- Goes undefeated this year and plays in the state game AGAIN.

There seems to be alot of that from the west side of Ashland.

This game definitely generating alot of talk from that part of the state. Russell is going to be hard to beat this year, but if anyone on their schedule could it would be Ashland. They played very well last week and hope to continue it this week. The Red Devils are going to find the path to the state championship this year to be much tougher from all comers.

We have not heard from GIAT in a couple of hours. Where are you?

I look for Kasey Clark to showup big in this game and to prove to everyone who doubts him as a premiere back and he will show the state that he is a legit and probabl winner for Mr. Football

No disrespect to Kasey at all but do you honestly think he is a more probable Mr. Football winner than Victor Anderson or Doug Beaumont? Like I said, I think that Kasey is one of the better backs to come out of this area in a while, but I dont think he can match up to those 2, and maybe more.

Not only do I think he is better. I feel that if he were going to either one of the schools that these two attend he would be a sure thing. Locked in. No doubt about it. No disrespect to Anderson or Beaumont. Clark will have to stand out above and beyond to be selected based on location. He can pull it off as long as the sports writers pay attention and don't play the homer routine. Have you seen Clark play? If not, your mind might be changed after Friday night. I'm very busy these days. I was gone basically all day and night yesterday watching Arliss in Cincy. We cant really say anything that hasnt already been said about this game and rivalry. I just want to play the game.

I understand. But I mean a win against BC should almost be a lock for Russell.
