Not trash talking at all FBALL, just trying to make the case that Ashland really didn't play that well last year. An for Russell to beat them by 8 points wasn't a very dominating win for the eventual State Champs

I think it is nessessary to point out what a strong team Russell had last year, so to me 8 points was not very dominating. Thats all I was saying.

Ashland has no shot at a state title in 3a this year and neither would the Devils ( even the most talented ( not champs) teams of 2002 and 2004) ....

 

Tomcats are playing in there own backyard against a traditional opponent that is flying as high as they have in the history of Russell Program. Surely this doesn't have to keep being explained.

 

If I was Ashland , I would play this up with the kids and community all week ... ie we need the entire school and town show up and get wild to cut down the Devils ( who just might be getting to big for their britches ) ...

 

Atmosphere friday should be electric ... if it isn't Ashland has missed a chance for greatness ...

I dont think there will ever be the need to 'play up' any game in the Ashland-Russell series. Fans of both schools are well aware of whats at stake, which pretty much amounts to bragging rights I guess. Besides where would they put everyone if the whole town did show up? :lol:

Russell will control the clock and I think they will wear down the t-cats in this one.

Like I said in previous post, accept the loss and move one, the hardest thing for ashland fans to do.:lol: let me state my score of this game again and say Russell can win this game by as many as they want. :sssh:

I am not disputing the win! I was just suprised that Ashland even had a chance at the end like they did, after not playing a very good game.
